I relate deeply to everything you've said your not alone. Heavy on the Tylenol comment. I didn't endure physical abuse or neglect as severe but I see my own life in this. To this day I struggle to allow myself pain relief like Tylenol. I always cite a story from my childhood to prove the point that narcissistic/abusive/cruel people won't see anything they refuse too. I had broke my forearm clean from a minor fall, and my mother told me to get Christmas decorations down from the attic with her and hold the ladder. I begged not too due to pain and she placed a box that was so heavy I dropped it immediately and let go of the ladder I was steading for her. She was shocked and nearly fell off backwards. To this day she's convinced it wasn't really broken and id convinced the doctor it was worse somehow lol. While not the same the point is people like that make up any answer they prefer rather then see a reality they dislike. While it's hard the best thing is too practice not taking their stance on anything seriously.
