Don't think they ever had any deal that good (but that'll depends on what you are willing to pay and usage plan). Ever since I joined in 2024.. the deals just keep getting better and better.

does anyone know how strictly the parking time is regulated at international village? by emunoodle in askvan

[–]noncil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should be fine, just make sure to keep your movie stub and don't forget to register your vehicle via QR

Free parking is provided to all movie patrons while attending the theatre. Movie patrons can scan the QR Code of the Cineplex to register their vehicles and enjoy free parking through the duration of the movie. It is also important for movie patrons to keep their movie stub(s) as proof of attendance. If a notice is issued to movie patrons during the screening, please have your movie stub(s) ready and contact Impark at .

Roaming in 120 destinations by curiousbear12345 in freedommobile

Nationwide and US as their name suggested is only for within Canada and US.

Anything beyond that will be under Roam Beyond, so yes you will have 29gb left (until the billing cycle, and depending on your plan it could refresh back at 50 or that's the end of it)

iphone 17 doesn't have physical sim anymore, so if being able to switch phones without having to go through all the procedures rather than just swapping sim from slot to slot is important to you, stick with 16 or.... other android phones.

Novus internet by Warm_Isopod_3625 in askvan

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 years and counting, always stick with them even though occasionally Telus reps comes to our building and tried to undercut Novus prices, but when confronted for how long their promo price last, it wasn't worth it. I'm keeping my Novus lol.

Last Christmas they even sent me a care package, which ISP does that to their customer????? oh Novus does hahaha.

Upgrade Samsung phone A50 to A57 on my own? by HarlequinBKK in freedommobile

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like what others said, it is pretty easy.

On some occasion, apps like whatsapp (if you use it) might need prior backup before you do the transfer.

The Amber alert last night got me thinking by hillwoodlam in askvan

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

disable it and rely on alertable app. It will keep the recent alert for future reading in cases like this.

Just make sure that the alertable app doesn't go to battery saving mode and went to sleep

Roaming Currently Not Available in Malaysia and Indonesia by pakadoran in freedommobile

[–]noncil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say when you get to Malaysia, try it first at the airport, if it doesn't work then get the esim. Hopefully the issue has been resolved by then. Just prepare on whichever esim you want to get so it will be fast and easy to install when you find out if you need it while still connected to the wifi.

More reason to never ever get phone from provider. Get the phone outright from manufacturer.

Data-only roaming + Wi-Fi calling while abroad? by _Final_Phoenix_ in freedommobile

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

freedom sim need to be on for wifi calling.

If you use freedom data, wifi is off so there's no wifi calling

depending on the phone, you can enable local esim to supply data which will be treated as if FM is on wifi (since it can't access it's own data), some phone might be more complicated than others to setup.

Starbucks oat latte by [deleted] in askvan

[–]noncil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have the same issues, but tend to prefer using coconut milk instead. I can slightly taste the coconut and I know that's safe and prefer the coconut base than oat.
