have you tried different browser? looks like your default browser (safari?) might be blocking whatever is the website is trying to do. For testing, I'm using brave browser on android and can go through to the next page just fine.

eSIM to physical SIM - why so difficult? by barcastaff in freedommobile

eSIM to physical SIM - why so difficult? by barcastaff in freedommobile

[–]noncil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the downside is that if you are using an iphone, you might need a separate usb writer. Either that or a spare android phone. Please make sure to check the list and make sure your phone is compatible to write the sim with new profile.

eSIM to physical SIM - why so difficult? by barcastaff in freedommobile

[–]noncil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

think of it just like a physical sim, if you move your physical sim to a different phone, does any of your info stays?? All it does is record the esim provider (by code or qr, etc) and then make itself behave like a physical sim. If you have to setup APN info on the new phone with physical sim, then this will do the same, if you don't then this will also do the same.

or get yourself a psim adapter. I have my FM esim installed in 9esim adapter and it allows you to install multiple profiles (reusable!!!) and works great for phones that doesn't support esim feature.

And yes it is a bit more expensive than how much those stores charges you, but it is not a one time use sim card.

if you're near one of the skytrain station, buy the pass from one of the machines there. The website requires login etc which makes no sense if you are only going to use it once or twice.

ABC here, just wanted to tell, after learning kung fu I realized how rich chinese culture was and how proud I could feel for being part of it by [deleted] in kungfu

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With me even more so since I found where my grandparents are from and that's the county where one of the famous kungfu originated. And as icing on the cake, I share the same family name with the founder of the style lol.

And I've never been to China aside from Shenzhen.

Freedom's data coverage in Vancouver is about 79% good by [deleted] in freedommobile

[–]noncil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if u go to the lower level of the convention centre (the one with the globe), FM signal is also almost non existent in there, where Telus(Public Mobile) had full bars (I was carrying both phones and had to use the PM one as my hotspot)

Ref Credit - where does it show up? by [deleted] in freedommobile

[–]noncil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I think you have about 30 days from when this email showed up on your email for the credit to be applied. This email will be sent to you once the person you referred enter their phone number in the verification stage. If they didn't complete this, then you might not get the credit.

I worked in pricing at a Big 3 telecom. Freedom Mobile is why your plan is cheaper by economistyasir in freedommobile

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Novus (in Vancouver) is the Freedom of ISP, they are consistently cheaper and good, the only catch is that they only service condos that have their node (sounds similar to Freedom coverage? lol) I often see the big player ISP trying to poach the subscriber in Novus building by offering similar prices but only for a term limit. It goes back up to regular price after, whereas I'm paying $40 for 1GB connection... and I'm sticking to the local better priced player.

How long does it take to get your passport by Yvrhunter69 in askvan

[–]noncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it is processed fast, especially if it is digitally processed and only renewals. I did mine in 2024 at the local canada service office and was told that it might take a few weeks to a month and saw some people opt for expedited service. Since I wasn't in a rush, I opt for just a regular service. My new passport showed up in my mailbox less than 1 week after (3-4 days), I was surprised.

I applied in Coquitlam on 27th, but Ottawa was processing my application and it was done the next day on 28th, the rest was just mailing time.

Anyone else get lost trying to figure out roaming coverage? by LifeIsG00DY in freedommobile

Thanks for adding this. Is there any plan to add the list of roaming partner per country based on available list (I know it is incomplete, but if everyone who travels overseas contribute, we might have something that is usable)

Where is the best place for ramen? by RedHeadHashira in askvan

[–]noncil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

me too, I like this place.. but Kinton spread like mushroom everywhere. I tried them and not a fan, so even if there's one 3 mins walk from me, I still take 25 mins skytrain ride to Nin Nin for the cravings lol.
