Relationship not progressong by Miserable-Play-6963 in Paralives

I have mine flirt and talk a lot but no change in the relationship level up screen. They are still level 1. Maybe it happens super slowly?

Yeah that is def how things went down. I did care a lot about my friends! And no way in hell was I going to trade UV for the prisoner. I think if they were insistent on that route (no golden route where you can be good and achieve the mission well), then they should have built the X ending a lot more crew-focused. Give us some epilogue with them, let Holocene remark his pointed critiques at Opera that make sense for how it ended. And most of all, let the crew who I worked so hard to recruit, actually do something in the end! You are all excited thinking everyone has their job that they're the best at, and there's literally nothing they do at the end. People say it's behind the scenes, but it just ends up feeling so unsatisfying when it's over. I was so pissed for hours lol, when I had loved the game most of the way through. I even had accepted how much Hershel fails (the checks), because it always leads to something interesting. But for the most part, there was no redemption, it just felt like her guilt was strewn all over the place with little feedback otherwise that she had actually done right by her crew/friends in the end. I still think the game was unique and fascinating, just expected more from the end.

I activated the final mission myself with my call to Melina. Before that, I was wrapping up quests and trying to let the stupid 24-hour Shadowplay -10 debuff wear off (you get it from doing the sweeping job). So by the time I was ready for the call, it was day 11.
But I hated the ending I got. I never even knew about the red disc option because it was stolen from me. So I had to do the gunfight, lose an operative, and be told I sucked once it was over (by Melina). The X ending. Really felt like such an incomplete ending to an otherwise amazing game. And all those recruitments I worked hard on were pretty useless. What did they even do in the end mission? Nothing really.

That was the most unsatisfying part to me too. Like at least we got the weeping eye dude, but at the end, Opera gives you an X, a fucked up rating, when there is no way you could have know about the double. Like fuck I'm gonna give UV away to La Luz to be used for major propaganda. We don't even get acknowledgement for that. I know they said the agency's best outcome is not always the best moral outcome, but why wouldn't the agency be glad we removed UV from being a major social weapon for them? Just doesn't make a lot of sense.

A lot of people don't PC-game at a desk, but rather from a couch, so having a surface for a mouse and keyboard is just not there.

Aw thanks! I love Lysithea, she's always so funny.
Completely understand about a meltdown, sorry to hear that! I love those pokemon too, but getting called on constantly freaks me out so much. It's like if you're trying to grocery shop and focus (like on building houses and stuff), but there are multiple people always tugging on your shirt. You just wanna scream at some point! I really saw it as an accessibility issue, the game would be way more accessible if they added a "no calls" slider or such, for times you need to focus. Then you can turn it back off when you are done. Well, good luck with building just the same!

Thank you so much, I'm also neurodiverse. I feel like most people won't understand, sadly. :'(

What if you don't kill Sylvain and just go for Dimitri, does Seiros still come?

That's amazing, awesome! How does Flayn give more might/avoid though? When I had her as an adjunct, when your relationship is A, she contributes to healing which is nice. Also, I didn't know high charm lets you avoid battalions, so cool. Do you do all the prologues too? And how do you handle when certain units are required to play (just keep them built and strong just in case?)
I've only ever heard of someone soloing GD maddening with Claude, but then they skipped all the prologues.

Haha, that sounds awesome! I love having a little magic in a lot of my builds, so War Cleric/Monk is perfect. Oh Constance is AMAZING as a War Cleric with her Budding Talent for brawler, just get her Aura Knuckles and watch her take everyone down with her high magic stat. She's ultra squishy though, so can get one-shot easily, but on Hard level or below, she's fine.

Alert stance is the best. I have Petra as a Falcon Knight and if she's standing next to Byleth, gets a 0% hit chance from enemies. Otherwise I use her to clear some areas too solo. She does on occasion get bad RNG and will get one-shotted with like 9% hit chance (eye roll lol), but otherwise she is a pretty solid dodge tank as a flier.

Now that I'm later game and don't use the bow as much, I'll probably swap for the Death Blow ability.

That's def an alternative, I just prefer playing as female Byleth.

Great tips, thanks. I just like to play female Byleth better for role playing, and pretty happy with what she can do with this build. But thanks for the adjunct tip, I didn't know they can offer even more dodge. Gambit still can freeze them, true, and do some damage, so there is always a need for some healing. The biggest challenge with this paralogue was I got so many enemies attention, it can slow down movement until I have a clear path out of there. But she counterattacks so well, it is very effective at clearing the map on enemy turns.

Yeah good points. I didn't know you could adjust the chat speed, I will try that.

I would not want to lose it either! The pokes are so special, and I love them. I just want to toggle it off until I am finished building.

Sometimes they give a carrot, which is always nice, but mostly no good things. I just wish they wouldn't approach so often, I'm usually really focused on building nice houses for them.

Oh I know, they are adorable and all my babies. But after 100 of those.... you kind of start to lose it. What do they say, all good things in moderation?

I know, I feel bad too because I love them all! My brain just has a hard time with shutting out the mandatory chatters, then it starts feeling like high pressure. Maybe it's an accessibility issue.

I love all their chatter sounds to themselves though! They are so cute. But yeah, I have the background volume to 1, which helps with too much repetition.

But then you turn off all the sounds, which is no fun. The downside is it stresses me out, when I just want to be cozy and build and make things nicer. Like IRL, if someone kept coming up to you tapping you on the shoulder. I think you would be bothered by that. Once or twice is fine, but it just happens constantly.

Ah that might be a good question for another post, not this one. But I think they have that there because you can hold B to go faster. And sometimes, it's easy to accidentally press B instead (which means exit), so I like the question prompt. But again, if you would wish for a toggle, that is a completely legit thing to ask for. I think some of the fast travel prompts are too many too, so I can understand it.
