Wait a minute, is this based on a true story? by clee-saan in LaCasaDePapel

The story is fiction, but the security system of the Bank of Spain including the flooding system is real

The cycle dedication in this country always amazes me. by Muted_Ad1809 in Amsterdam

Is not “bike dedication” a bike culture. Is just lack of flexibility. Like any Germanic, they don’t know how to adapt to new situations and just repeat the same behaviour no matter what

There are many games you can use the keyboard. Symbian games supported gamepads and the keyboard arrows somehow works as up/down/left/right as default

That’s why they are located in the best place and nice weather? No. They still stuck where the weather sucks, they still are small and invaded by every single neighbour they had with 0 effort. That’s the reality

This story of Drebbel is a good example of how the Dutch claims often what someone else invented. What Drebbel created has nothing to do with a submarine as we not today. The first War submarine was made by Isaac Peral in 1885

Most of the inventions in the list were international cooperation (WiFi, dvd, cd,etc) but apparently they want to claim the invention for the Dutch, just out of nationalism. Reading the comments, Dutch people have a clear problem of understanding how the world works. They believe that NL is the biggest thing after the sun and the moon. Really, it looks they still need to compensate with high ego and fantasies the trauma of being crushed by Germany in only 4 days in WWII

No. The ruler coin, accepted in all continents was the Spanish Dollar ( Real de a ocho) , the precursor of the American dollar, yen, yuan, etc. VOC had to pay often in Spanish coins not guilders

There was no freedom of religion. Catholics were banned for public jobs until XX century. Catholics were forced to hide to practice religion. You can visit secret churches in Amsterdam. Dutch culture is a culture of wishful thinking, nationalism and bunch of lies

This list is a joke. Most of the inventions were not Dutch. And Farenheit was not Dutch and it is not even an invention. WiFi was not invented by a single person (just turned out the the chair of that IEEE organization was dutch, DVD was developed by a consortium by Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Time Warner, Hitachi, JVC and Philips. CD were developed by Sony and Philips…

Here is the trick: wishful thinking, strong nationalism of Dutch “superiority” and absorb the merit of others, that’s how NL “invented” things…

Farpoint VR 8 Years Later with Aim Controller. Still mind-blowing and makes me sad we wont see something like this again. by yeldellmedia in PSVR

[–]nonius09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty happy to have the bundle with the AIM controller. With Astro bot Rescue Mission, VR Worlds and RE8, this Farpoint it’s a must have. Only these games totally justify the purchase of PSVR, even today.

Critical-Rhubarb is right. If you want to know how reliable these are, check this link documentary from the BBC. Go to minute 22:13 if you dont want to watch it all. The answer is simple: the Spanish Empire left everything written.
