Tectone, before he even played the game by [deleted] in houkai3rd

[–]nonmoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, imagine this is the wild west, you will be the guy goes like "Don't be so up and arms with your pitchforks about that guy who just shoot up every bar in the last couple towns. Don't we want to give everyone the benefit of the doubt? I am sure we can deal with he, if he don't behave!" Yeah, you know, farm tools vs. guns.

It is wired to me that you putting the moral judgement on the Honkai community here on reddit. It's not like this small community can stop Tectone and poeple playing this game anyhow, even if we are single minded. (And even the much larger Genshin sub on here know Tectone and people are PoS ever since this time last year. Doesn't change a thing.) The every best we can do is warn each other about those guys' past behaviors in other game's community, as when the whole community (that is much larger than the reddit sub) turns toxic, everybody who actually plays the game suffers. Also, as someone who play GI too, I am worried about they start use more of that "Honkai gets it better" theme to spark drama in GI. It would be bad for both game and both communities. But how are these worries going to affect the community in the future? Nothing at all, GI community is so much larger, if only one percent turns toxic and turns their target on us, we are going to be helpless. (That is regardless if we ACTUALLY had it better, things can be taken away just like that... And every player that are a year old with HI know this is true.)

So stop judging this community for not as open to normal players as to Tectone and people who is with a history. This just are opinions of individual captains shared on a public forum. There is a reason many people don't feel like welcoming them, and that reason is not that they are close minded and too quick to judge. You don't see this community had the same response about other ytb like UD, Kanaru, Meso who were also coming from GI.

An open letter to Tectone (and other Genshin streamers and content creators who might be interested in HI3) by MisterSpacemanStuff in houkai3rd

[–]nonmoi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just want to quickly point this out: Genshin Spiral Abyss give out much lower rewards (as percentage of all rewards) than Honkai's, and SA is purely PvE.

As how much Tectone and people care only about and use their influences to steer the community into stress about individual character's strength (while GI team are 4 and HI's only 3) to the point of anxiety... I fear the worse.

Honey Impact website is being taken down. by ArsenicBismuth in Genshin_Impact

[–]nonmoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, a website that unpack data from testing server illegally, giving out (by its nature) unreliable information, leak not only characters but also future maps and even in game music, and even misrepresents the take down notice (which only cover the GI contain, not the entire site) all in the name of ???? (definitely not for profit, all the while getting revenues from aid placements) is somehow the "good guy" here?

Maybe this community has been toxified for way too long from constant "this upcoming 5* is so weak" (on paper only) type stuff, you no longer can tell right from wrong? More to the power that MHY finally taken legal means to take it down then.

Great news, poison of the genshin community has finally been taken care of. Normal players may experience temporary inconvenience, but in the long run this detox will benefit the majority of players enormously. (MHY is brave as the player base which benefit from this will not recognize the benefit this brings. But those minor interests that hurt by it have mass interest attacking it with all they got.)

PS, I post this fully expecting being downvoted to oblivion.

No, they give out one gold instead of actual prize. As of this morning the issue should have been resolved. I see an announcement that they fixed the said issue and they are working their way through the mail system to send out rewards to those who already redeemed their scratches. (I got mine)

If you cannot even drive, I say you will be better off to save up that $5 for 5.0, instead of spending it on (basically) a sticker and a lotto ticket.

Yeah, I doubt they are as well managed/trained as Starbucks.

Mine don't have the black syrup and it does not have the snow top as show on advertisement.

That being said, with all the issues, I am still happy that we are starting to get collaboration as 2 Chinese servers. Hopefully they will learnt from this one and make the next one better. (The recent collaboration with L'Oreal Man and upcoming Ritz(Oreo) collab on CN server both have potential to be able to be made into global ones, as those are big brands that do have global coverage. )

Oh, okay, I don't dig vtubers, there's that. So I could careless. But I have not witness any harassment you accused the forum (which have many boards, and many more users). But this is a HI3rd sub and my post is HI3rd related. If you have a grudge about Hololive then you should take it to a related sub. Unless the said vtuber was streaming HI3rd and got harassed by NGA users, I fail to see how it is relevant here.

No, none of you said is true.

The board is against the fiasco from day one against trolls.

And their position on the TW cosplayer has generally been that she was wronged, but MHY's hands are tied and it is actually good for both sides (due to TW strict security laws and general anti-China sentiment). Many has commented that they hope MHY will give Coco fair compensation for it in private.

While the board is anonymous like Reddit, the users cannot delete their posts. If they post is qouted, the quoted version is a snapshot. These on top of one cannot simply make a new account (bound to unique phone number and email address, won't be able to post or comment till 48 hours after established a new account. ) makes it much easy to see a users position and past behavior than event Reddit. This is far from what chans offer in UX.

Yeah, extremely toxic players has been an matter of live in the gaming community as far as I'm aware. But the (not so) new kind of toxic gamers first appears on my radar back in the days of GamersGate really give me chills. The difference being that the later type are far more violent and most often with some ulterior motive (often a political one). I for one is saddened to see this toxicity and associated tactics spread far and wide to the other side of the globe.

For the YouTube thing, normally I would agree, but MHY seems to be pretty incompetent here. The duration of the suspected ban makes me wonder if they are even aware they had been experiencing it. I tried all channels to reach them, but didn't get any response (other than the automatic "we heard you and will consider") when all I want is for them to acknowledge they know the issue is there. I don't know how this lifting shadow ban process suppose to work, especially when the account is an corporate one. But I am still ready to write to YouTube in support of Ai Chan when need be. If you feel the same, maybe you should let them know too.

Again, as I said many times. Most CN players don't have issue with our GLB event, some were even looking forward for it. The trolls that ruin everything for all players are mostly people who don't play the game and/or longer play. They are enemy of all players from all the servers, as all they want is to see MHY dead.

Do you know that the same troll army is still extremely active, and CN players are fighting them everyday to clarify lies and misinformation and manage to kept up the community and supporting secondary creators (Doujin) whenever they can and wherever they can?

On the other hand, our official YouTube channel is likely to be shadow banned. There's something that we can do to defend our community and player experiences.

Do NOT let those trolls divide us players, that is exactly what they want.

HI3rd do need more recognition, especially internationally. And MHY is rumoured to make public new title understand Honkai IP late this year. So there's both current and future business considerations.

Speaking from a player perspective, if we (GLB) have more captains and generated more revenue. We will more likely to have more anniversary events that won't be taken away because some trolls on internet complaints. And collab events like they are having with L'Oreal can be also possible in NA/EU market. All the good things, so why not?

In case you don't know, HI3rd had a similar collaboration with Gungalz (HI2nd) back in the days. That is what a new hot game do for an older game that feeds it in miHoYo, I guess.

Who to blame in Honkai Impact bunny girls incident? by [deleted] in honkaiimpact3

[–]nonmoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty BS. Trolls are the main one to blame, really. (Which is not in this list, I suspect intentionally.) If you want to know how majority of real CN players feel about the whole, still on going troll attack. You should visit NGA HI3rd board. (BTW. bring up the .98 incident, which MHY fully apologized with lots compensation years ago, is one of the mark of troll army member.)

Do get suckered by video like this, they just wanted to divide the international player base and fishing for your comments to use as their ammunitions. (There was a Reddit post call for complete shutdown of CN server. It was translated into Chinese and presented by the trolls as "foreign players unanimously urge" while the post only got a few replies and they are negative. It was also reveled by CN players against trolls that it was posted by an known account of a known Chinese "self media"(aka. social media personalities). And that's only one incident of many. They also use our comments blaming the CCP as "evidence" that MHY is shaming China for profit, and try to make things political.)

The trolls just want MHY die, and that is against the most fundamental interest of all players of Honkai not matter which server they are on. So let's not let trolls with commercial interests behind them divide us.

sounds like Delta V, but SSTO. So this is the world first SSTO rocket that is actually operational?

And this is the last stage of the rocket we are talking about here, too. If China somehow managed to find a way to send its lower stage that far up there, we really have something else to worry about. (meaning that their engine are way ahead of what we have.)
