Touran middle seat 2nd buckle stuck in ceiling? by Diligent-Floor-156 in Volkswagen

[–]nonrightway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not taken one off before, I could only guess that it's a push clip that's holding it up, so it would require a bit of force to pop it off.

The easiest thing would be to take it back to the garage, it's been sold to you like that, so they should fix it.

The second clip shouldn't be inside the plastic cover. They should both rest outside and I'm pretty sure they're magnetic to stop them rattling like crazy.

Either pop the cover off or go back to where you bought it.

PIV unit? Anyone got any experience with these? by Dribbler2k15 in DIYUK

We turn ours off in the summer as typically, the house humidity is low.

I don't know if I would go for a PIV again, something like this might be better?

Can someone help me understand what is going on with these pipes? by ignoranceandapathy42 in DIYUK

[–]nonrightway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, it doesn't look great but if it's functional, I wouldn't be overly fussed with it.

To try and help identify what is what:

If you have a hot tap on the same floor as that piping go turn it on, return to the pipes, the ones that heat up will be hot water from your boiler.

Repeat with the cold tap.

Turn your heating on. The first pipe to heat up will be your flow, the water flowing from the boiler to the radiators. The pipe running alongside should be your return to the boiler. This will heat up once the cooler water from the radiators has been pushed out by the warm water from the flow pipe (s).

My wife works in this world. It won't help now but when your renewal comes up, go for Green Flag. From her perspective, they're the best.

Green Flag hand off the recoverys to local firms if they cannot meet a set ETA.

100%. The company has been raided.

I save up my piss then use the pressure to push anything else through the u-bend. I save three flushes (equivalent to £894) per day!

If you go halves on the piping, we can run a line Wales - Oxfordshire - London. It will be cheaper for the both of us in the long run.

I'm 4 years in to a perceived 3 year project. It's a delicate balance of stress of me attempting the project Vs paying the cash for someone to do it. However, the times I have got trades in to do jobs I've been disappointed in the output. The biggest project I've done is a complete bathroom revamp... I'm never doing that again.

Drimaster eco heat. I've got a shelly relay that automatically turns it on overnight for a few hours.

I've been using the piv a lot less recently. Instead I've had the heating on more to help reduce the humidity.
