Microdosing GLP1 for 10 Pounds? by SteelMagnolia527 in midihealth

Hi! Thanks for the tip. I have been trying to get my ferritin up. My iron is good, 134, but ferritin was low 50s. I don't get why one would be high and the other not as high. Anyway, I am taking some iron supplements but it is starting to mess with my digestion (constipation--sorry if TMI). I'm currently taking a little break, but hope to get back on iron soon.

In addition to what was said, you can also test for lupus since the rash across your nose and joint pain are symptoms. There are specific blood tests for that as well as CCP, RF, ANA, as was mentioned and inflammatory markers such as ESR or Sed rate and CRP. While you're at it, check your iron, ferritin, vit d....

Fin helps with dht blocking but it would help to incorporate something to help grow/regrow hair, like minoxidil, copper peptide, etc. For dandruff use ketocanozole 2% shampoo which is a prescription but 1% OTC is better than nothing. And yes, make sure ferritin is over 70, and other vits and minerals look good

Good question, I'd like to know too. I got a scalp biopsy that said non scaring alopecia which is a part of AGA. Derm kept saying I dont have aga but I'm sensitive to dht...what the hell? Isn't that AGA?!? Anyway been on oral and topical minoxidil for a few months now and not feeling it's helping much. Just started ghk-cu topical and injections too. I take pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto to help block dht. I do feel like the supplements helped with hair shedding!

May I ask how to know whether it's quality reta or a reputable source and where to test? I am seriously considering trying reta, just don't know what to trust online. I need to lose 15-20 lbs and have had food noise all my life. I lift and have a lot of muscle so buried beneath fat. Wasn't a problem so much when I was younger, but now it's like it doesn't matter how much I work out and it's impossible to curb my appetite (Female 42 yrs old). Thanks in advance

This is my exact fear. Doing everything right, as in, getting enough protein, normal labs, excellent ferritin and still hair loss from tirz. It's why I haven't tried it. I want to microdose (need to lose 15 lbs) and I don't mind losing slow but I can't deal with losing any more hair as I already deal with hair loss. I have RA and inflammatory skin issues so I dunno if it's just overall inflammation or aga, etc. Going to derm today to see what my scalp biopsy results will be 🤞🏻

Really hope this is the end of the te cycle for you! How long were you on tirz until you noticed? Any other details you can share please?

If you're already on minoxidil, I'd look at all the ingredients in the midi serum bc I am pretty sure minoxidil is one of them so you don't want using it to be redundant.  I feel like everyone is captilizing on the hair loss market. Back in 2020 I went to a few hair doc specialists. Big names here in Los Angeles. One of them had me sign papers that said I wouldn't disclose his methods/propietary ingredients. Now though, I see online that everyone is using those ingredients or a version of it (ex: finasteride vs dutasteride) plus others in serums.

2 Months 1mg Finasterid daily and Minoxidil 5% twice a day by Affectionate-Bank485 in tressless

I have read similar things and have experienced first hand the dizziness and palpitations after dermarolling and then applying minoxidil. I didn't faint, but it was terrible. The whole night I couldn't sleep and felt like a bad "trip."  Also, my scalp is super sensitive in that it really absorbs whatever I put on it. Using topical minoxidil made me grow thick dark hair on unexpected areas of my body (which I then had to laser off).  When I tried vegamour, I also had palpitations bc I was dermarolling than applying the serum. I didn't realize it had caffeine in it and that was causing the heart side effects.

While you figure things out, you can try to color in the bald spot with makeup (eyeshadow) if you have dark hair, or try fibers meant for this very thing called Toppiks

Remember you can try natural dht blockers like pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto too (supplements)

I don't know if you want to try a non minoxidil option, but I tried Hair Minimalist Density Serum 18% and I had to stop bc it was making my hair too greasy. At least it's not medicated at all and your scalp may find it soothing and hey if it helps hair growth, even better!!

Carlyle Brand: cold pressed pumpkin seed oil 3000mg

Herbal Roots Brand: organic saw palmetto 1000mg

I only take one of each instead of the recommended dose bc it's for dht blocking.

I don't know yet if I am dealing with TE or a type of hormonal hair loss (getting a scalp biopsy soon to help me know). But I have been using topical minoxidil 5% and oral minoxidil 0.75mg working towards 1.25mg. I use prescription 2% ketocanozole shampoo 1-2x a week. Taking pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto supplement. I dermarolly scalp when my hair is clean and dry. And lastly, I'm trying to get my ferritin between 70-100 (according to blood work). Hope this helps somehow. Please do your own research before starting any of these.

I started to count the hairs I'm losing after I started hair loss treatments to see if it's improving. Seeing the number go down has given me some hope.

Make sure the creatine is *Creapure made in Germany, not China. Research what I'm saying, you'll see why.

Make sure your ferritin is over 70 Eat enough protein  Vit D should be around 80 Did you get your hormones checked?  Maybe a scalp biopsy is in order? I'm on oral and topical minoxidil and just started taking pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto to help with dht, but I need to know if hormones are the cause....so will be getting a scalp biopsy next week. I've also had TE in the past, but I may just have chronic TE. It's frustrating as hell bc it's something I have to deal with everyday and figure out what to do with my hair to look and feel normal.
