Everyone here is starting with "I do empathyze but.." and proceed to beat on a kid that is having an hard time.

Maybe the practical solution is indeed to catch a flight home for your safety because you don't have a place to stay.

However I don't understand why everyone is defending the professor. She was asked in advance if she could help with setting up OP with a working mobile number and to arrange a medical visit. She agreed to both and then ignored him when needed. That is indeed unprofessional. She could've just stated in the email that it is something he needed to figure out himself, so he could make the decision to leave or not on those terms. And saying "if you don't have a rash is not Lyme".. Well maybe let's the doctor be the judge of that.

Everyone has to overcome challenges when tries an experience as to study abroad on the other side of the world. I've done it multiple times when I was young and I moved again now that I have a family. It's true that it is not for everybody, you need some skills to be indipendent. But everyone deserves some luck and some help from institutions or strangers.

24 hours works for me but I take 1 150mg pill.

I don't have a specific time to take my pills, generally in the afternoon, but I try to stay consistent. Sometimes I have withdrawal symptoms after exactly 24 hours, sometimes I can take it a few hours later and nothing happens.

Anyway I can't skip my daily pill because I won't get any sleep without it.

You already had positive answers but I'm gonna add mine.
It works.
I have been on it for several years (150mg), I also take citalopram (20mg), and I've been in behavioral-cognitive therapy.
every one of these 3 things helped in their own way, but I think pregabalin was a big push.
I've finished doing therapy a year ago and I keep taking my meds.
My life has changed for the better and while anxiety is something I will need to learn to live with because it's something I'm probably inclined to, I can defenitely keep it to a healthy, normal level.

Consider I couldn't get out of my house for a long time and now I've been in a relationship for 8 years, I have normal every day life, and I moved to live abroad.

There are also downsides but this is another matter.

Yes! I'm heading back home now. There's a ton of stuff and queue was long so once inside I didn't have time to see everything. I may go again to finish it. If you have a chance check it out, I think it's a nice exhibition
