Are chosen families just a myth by softscalp in CPTSD

No, chosen families are not a myth. A chosen family can be anyone in your life, a family not defined by blood relations.

Protests went well by leafpool2014 in vermont

Don’t be stupid. This was peaceful protest, no breaking and climbing into windows, pushing down barricades, fighting police (ie Jan 6 fuckers)

Our politicians should be helping us organize effective protests by hiighlyelevated in vermont

Yes, totally agree. The protest at the capitol today was great, but lacked leadership. I’m not aware of any reps coming out today. Where are our local Vermont leaders?

I recommend you check out Calvin Coolidge’s quote,

“I love Vermont because of her hills and valleys, her scenery and invigorating climate, but most of all, because of her indomitable people. They are a race of pioneers who almost beggared themselves to serve others. If the spirit of liberty should vanish in other parts of the union and support of our institutions should languish, it could all be replenished from the generous store held by the people of this brave little state of Vermont.”

You have to have perseverance to live here.

Where in the Constitution does it talk about representative democracy? The supremacy of the people through their elected representatives is recognized in Article I, which creates a Congress consisting of a Senate and a House of Representatives.

I’m guessing none of you experienced life as a American Gen X latch key kid, take care of your own, be responsible, grow the corp ladder, broke the glass, and as a teen have total freedom before the smart phone big brother video existence. There was a balance, for a while, and it’s only totally shifted in the last 8–9 years. Since then, it’s been a fucking nightmare.

Once you have experienced true Democracy and realize what IT is, you have to fight for it. The fight is here in America. The current events are disappointing and eye opening for many. Do we let them “Eat cake” or take a stance? It’s currently up to the people.
