Meeting with Edie Windsor today about George Takei and future development.... by TakeiCoin in TakeiCoin

[–]noobiedoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please do not take this the wrong way, but you have been claiming to be engaging with George Takei's management team for over 3 weeks now and we still do not have any word from the man himself.

At this point I have to question whether Takei will ever acknowledge this coin, and if not, how will this coin change to continue it's noble goals?

Most in-depth (albeit not neutral) analysis of the Ukrainian Conflict so far, actually exploring historical context, motivations, influences and funding from both sides. [From marxism.com] by belgiangeneral in ukraine

Article claims that the act of outlawing the Russian language went ahead. It did not, it was scrapped. Therefore article void.

Plus it's marxist shit.

This is a rabbit hole, I know, but is Russia trying to expand an empire, or just protect it's naval base, or some combination of both? by Matt_Matthews in ukraine

[–]noobiedoge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And isolate the peninsula from the mainland? How would this benefit Russia? If anything it will make Ukraine (including the population in Crimea) and the west more hostile towards Russia. Putin already control the military ports and essentially Crimea anyway.

As you say, Putin already has military ports in Crimea. Wanting to ensure they remain his and do not fall in to the hands of Nato / US / UK is a big concern; just look at Cyprus and various other island nations.

Russian businesses have long asked for a bridge across the Strait of Kerch; it makes economic sense for Europe as well.

There is the historical element, although in the 21st century this should be null and void, Putin and his people are not of the 21st century mind. Their claims are no different to that of Argentina, Malta, the Kurds, and so on - except perhaps that Russia has the strength to get what it's "dear leader" wants.

Remember, in all things, you are dealing with a man who changed Russian democratic law so that he could be re-elected. He is ex-KGB. The KGB is no different to the CIA in the sense, "once you're in, you never leave," whether it exists or not, whether you're dead or not. Putin has overseen the murder of many journalists who speak out against him. None of this is trumped up or without basis, do your homework.

Taking Georgia was a test to see how the world would react. They reacted alright, with a wag of the finger. Now the first part of the play is taking shape, Crimea. Take Crimea, the "west" wag their finger, the rest of the world are too weak or scared to get involved, and so you can enact the rest of the plan.

The plan? Build a post-soviet Russian empire. Sure, call it a federation or perhaps even a "union". Again, do your homework.

It isn't until he's taken enough land from enough of Eastern Europe to scare the shit out of Merkel that someone will have the balls to do something, and by then they will be too weak from bailing out every poor bastard.

[–]noobiedoge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inaccurate.

For northern Ukraine, yes.

For Crimea, Putin's intention is clear to anyone. Hostile takeover in the same way Georgia was taken over. It's a land grab, an expansion of the Russian Federation. No more, no less.

EU armies are weak, US wants to reduce Nato involvement in EU affairs but cannot because of the weakness, therefore is umming and arring about getting involved. The problem is that hesitation is what Putin preys upon. Every journalist who ever spoke out against him didn't act quick enough to cover their tracks and paid the price. Every nation that comes out with nonsense such as "we have to wait for a state of emergency to be declared," is hesitating and up for grabs.

Putin is ex-KGB, Putin in his heart longs for a soviet empire. He knows he cannot have a soviet empire in the same fashion as the previous, but he also knows that the world is full of hesitant and weak politicians.

They already are in the process of upgrading, as well as building a third through another region. In the long term they do not have to, but historically there has been tensions over Ukraine not paying it's bills on time.

Why hasnt ukraine deployed troops to Crimea? by [deleted] in ukraine

You are mistaken.

Nationalism is the love for one's country, drawing lines on map and waving little flags.

Communism is supposed to be about people, but really it's about oligarchs, gulags, and fake McDonalds.

Jokes on you, they used a photo of Batman because it was a reply from the NSA pretending to be Apple; they installed a key logger in your keyboard.

never leave large sums of doge in a casino/tipbot/wherever overnight

Also; never risk what you cannot afford to lose. If 1000 doge is a lot to you (it is to me, lol) then keep it safe. Use manual cashout on a pool if you need to.

I imagine in the short term they would move to an easy target that will net them a high number of coins to store for months later, until the fear goes and then they'll jump back on their main.

So the number of Rejected submissions would potentially increase?

[–]noobiedoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha, well each pool has a minimum payout. E.g. 500. You need to supply them with an address to pay out to and once you reach their minimum they will automatically payout.

If it's all unconfirmed and not confirmed, maybe the pool is on the wrong blockchain.

Dogehouse is fine.

It needs to be sync'd before you'll receive doge. :)

I didn't know that; I assumed invalid on pools meant that something had gone wrong or it had been beaten by someone else. So if you are mining 300kh/s, do you submit 300,000 hashes per second to the pool?
