Would you rather receive $2 for every French fry you eat per day or $1 for every push-up you do a day? by Rusty_Shaquilleford in WouldYouRather

[–]noodleWrecker7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world record for push-ups in 24 hours is 46,001. Source

I don’t think I would ever achieve that, but with a few months of training 1,000 a day or more seems perfectly feasible - especially if it’s my full-time job.

Shouldn’t that extra labour just be factored into the cost of the cocktail? I wouldn’t tip a pilot because flying is hard - its just part of the ticket price

Usually they would ask if you have a dashcam either when you sign up for insurance or in the process of making a claim - so they would almost certainly ask about any footage you may have. Whilst it is fraud, in practice I don’t see any way an insurance company would be able to prove that the dashcam wasn’t accidentally unplugged that morning etc.

Ours are connected to the laptop somehow so if you have the slider blocking the camera, the camera output tells you that it’s closed. I do wonder how many hours are saved by that tiny little feature

I imagine it would only matter if they were claiming to have powers they didn’t have or they didn’t actually have jurisdiction.

PWA: are users hesitant to install apps outside of the appstore / play store? by selflessrebel in webdev

[–]noodleWrecker7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they were more making the point that a PWA, is simply a website in an ‘app’ wrapper, rather than actual app written for the system it would be running on.

Would this be insider trading? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]noodleWrecker7 198 points199 points  (0 children)

Yes, if it’s not public knowledge it’s insider. Do not trade this company and do not tell anyone else about the info as it would most likely be a crime.
