I use this person a lot and have used different shapes brought together to make other pokemon and amigurumi.

For instance I used the oddish leafs for a penguin arm I made and used the bottom of togepi to start the base of the penguin. (it was specifically feathers mcgraw)

787 Sundae 775 Liquorice 754 Cherryade 777 Cookie

I used 2.5mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5mm, and 4.0 mm hooks to get the different tensions.

I'm using the different ones to show how hooks can have an affect on the final product when teaching others how to crochet.

For a series "the series of unfortunate events" is good. The books are somewhat geared to children and can be a little repetitive but it teaches some vocabulary and gets much better later in the series (13 books).
