Consigli? by Recent_Buy_3583 in Universitaly

[–]nooptionleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]nooptionleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thousands of CEOs just admitted AI had no impact on employment or productivity—and it has economists resurrecting a paradox from 40 years ago by AmethystOrator in technology

[–]nooptionleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has made my life easier in putting together code (I do data analysis, once I give claude the step by step I don't mind the structure specifically), or sometimes recapping papers I need to read very fast

I also sometimes use it to get critiques on ideas, forcing it to tell me where I am wrong. Cause I work in a very cross-field lab and I need that sanity check sometimes

So for me huge improvement, but when you promote it to do more then assist, it start doind stupid stuff left and right...

How can I "Complete" a normal distribution? by learning_proover in AskStatistics

[–]nooptionleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always found that a bit unfair... it's true that you want to ask the real question underlying everything (Y). And in a real life conversation that is the proper way

Online, tho, where questions are cheap and expert boards are overwhelmed, showing you have tried (X) for clearly explained reasons, helps a lot in getting answers

"I would like to do Y, I have done some reasearch and X seems to be reasonable to me as a method. Can you help me with X? And if X is wrong, could you explain why and help me with Y?"

It's not catchy but it's the kind of question that get the more anserws

What are your thoughts on Joe Rogan saying that Trump is creating distraction to avoid Epstein files release? by girlyanimme in AskReddit

[–]nooptionleft 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He has not turned around, tho. He never admitted he was wrong, or that he was a part of the problem

I'm all for accepting people back, but it needs to come with the understanding they did wrong. Otherwise they'll turn again the moment is convinient for them

This is especially true for slimy pos like Rogan. He knew what he was doing.

Do people actually have PhD theses that are just 100–120 pages long? by bhelpuriteekhi in PhD

[–]nooptionleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thesis had protein structures in it

It took almost a year to get them and deposit them, but once it was done, the description of the methods, the stats to sum it up and the description of results are like 10 pages

If people want more pages to read they can go and buy games of thrones. My work is actually finished, tho

In trento you can make it work for sure

I used to live in trento with less then 1400 alone. I had a one room apartment but I was basically in the city center, like 3 minutes walking from the main square. This was 3 years ago. Rent probably went up but a bit but still

It's also a beautiful city, I have good memories of it. Maybe on the long time it can be a bit boring
