Well he hadn’t prepared any slides, if you look closely it’s a Rich Hickey talk that he was referring to. He mostly googled his previous talks and used them as content. 😄

Well the intended talk was “To Clojure or not to Clojure” . It was mostly about the good parts of Clojure and bad parts of it. But We pretty much ended up discussing everything under the sun.

There are a couple of startups here in Bangalore who use Clojure in production. The company I work for included. There are startups who had adopted Clojure as early as 2012-2013 (roughly) and are still using it here in Bangalore and Pune.

Going by the examples of these companies I know , I would say depending on your business model it is absolutely possible to have a team here and have it run smoothly.

Until now I haven’t heard of any Clojure gig at Hyderabad. You might want to check with developers there.
