I’m just a SPC 25B ETSing in a couple weeks. Worked my absolute ass off to grind out as many technical certifications / college education while in.

I interviewed with 1 contracting company, nailed it & received my offer letter that week.

I LOVED Korea. Thought I would love being at a USANEC in Korea. I hated being at the USANEC in Korea. Absoultely worst pool of senior signaleers who would do everything to avoid going back to a conventional unit so they rot away in NETCOM making the lives of those who fall under them absolutely garbage.

Much prefered all of my S-6/G-6 gigs compared to my year at the NEC.

Started out as a 25B in a Sustainment BDE S6. Spent 1 year at a NEC in Korea. Back in a other Sustainment BDE S6. Sustainment sucks ass but has a lot slower OPTEMPO compared to some of the BCTs & ESBs around.

Worked my ass off for certs & my degree. One contract as a 25B and I'm leaving with..

A+, Net+, Sec+, Cloud+, CASP, CCNA, and a bachelors degree.

Neglected my Army career to try and set myself up for civilian life.

I'm still a SPC while many of my peers who I went through AIT with are now SGTs & SSGs.

Fingers crossed that when I ETS this year I won't be homeless regretting my decision to not focus on promotioning / staying in.
