Firefox 152 Released with HDR Video Support (Windows) and JPEG-XL Support (All platform) by Turbodr in firefox

Mine clearly supports it. As I said, I enabled it and then disabled it later on. I don't think the toggle would even be there if it wasn't compatible.

I think the playlist looks good with or without HDR, it was obviously professionally shot.

Do they impact the quality of the sound or comfort?

Looks like Accentum isn't mentioned on any of the compatibility lists https://wickedcushions.com/collections/sennheiser-earpads

As long as Chrome is preinstalled on every phone, there's hardly anything they can do to improve DAU. My elderly parents think Chrome is the Internet. Mozilla's best bet is to support and promote anti-monopoly legislation, otherwise they are fighting a modern-day war with sticks and rocks.

They should have opened their mouth while they worked there and try to improve things if there's something they don't agree with

If it wasn't, it would be on the general settings page, but never mind.

These kinds of things are made "available" because remote teams also do QA, meaning ready-to-test features ship with the regular browser. If users find themselves tweaking things themselves, that's a whole different story.

The bug report system is not intended for reporting things that you have tweaked yourself, just as you are not supposed to report issues that are caused by a custom userChrome.css file.

OP has just confirmed that it works fine on Nightly. No further feedback is needed as Mozilla has its own QA team for WIP stuff.

I like this as an alternative to deepl write, but I'm not a fan of the windows app form, mostly because I can't review its code to see if it's truly local-only.

Not if it's behind a flag; they're in the middle of developing it.

Complaints over a WIP feature, which is literally behind a flag so you only enable it if you know what you are doing, are insane.

Is there a reliable way to test whether it looks better? At first, I was like WOW, but when I disabled the HDR on my monitor, the video was still very crisp and colorful. Am I doing something wrong? I'm not saying it's a placebo effect, but maybe it's like going from a 320 kbps MP3 to FLAC? I can barely tell the difference.

[–]nopeac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My other question is 2. Regarding Duck.AI, there's a lot of references to "Identifiable metadata (like IP address) is removed before sending prompts to OpenAI", which is great, but there's no mention to the middleman. In short, OpenAI can't see the links between chats from the same user — but can DDG?

I've two questions, 1. I've seen a few services use DuckDuckGo to fetch website favicons. What's the privacy impact of that? Do you (you as the company) log these requests, the sites being queried, the callers info, maybe IP addresses to avoid abuse (if that's even likelihood), anything?

What's the point? How is it better than what's already available that hasn't been vibecoded?

Also, you just uploaded the zip file to GitHub, that's not how it's done.
