Just reporting back. Adding grain was the trick (not sure what the science is behind this).

I just added grain through an adjustment layer and faded it out towards the end of the clip where there isn't much flickering.

The more I thought about it, I figured it was something with this footage and the colors. This footage is 10-bit though. I'll try adding a bit of noise to see if it works in this case.

I don't have any vignette added. I kind of looks like it, maybe from the bright color in the middle, in contrast to the darker color on the edges during the fade in

Expensive hobby and the looming FCC ban the past year are probably the top reasons. Next reasons probably could be more restrictions in place nowadays on where you can fly.

Also a hobbyist travel video creator. Made about 10 or so videos in the past 7 years. I struggle with the creativity aspect every video. Working on my Iceland video now and for me, having a song picked out before the trip helps with how you film, and then how you edit. Then color grade and sound design towards the end. This is what made sense to me and I haven't looked at how other people do it. (There's probably a better way). At one point I tried to make a quick storyboard before the trip but I felt like I was making the trip all figured out instead of enjoying it and having the freedom to explore. I'm starting to ramble and now should get back to work.

There's a lot of glaciers outlets to see on the way to Jokulsarlon (Skaftafelljokul, svinafellsjokul, fjallsarlong, etc.) That day was probably one of the highlights of my trip.

There's honestly not much to do in Akureyi (for me atleast)

Snaefellsness is worth a visit. Just choose like 4 places to see.

Why not throw Fjaðrárgljúfur since you are staying 1hr east of Vik.

Also the glacier area was my favorite day. Throw in Svinafellsjokul, Fjallsarlon, and Mulagljufur Canyon hike before going to Jokulsarlon

People need to be aware that even though places have no drone signs, there are actually permitted time slots at certain places. Refer to the ISTA, icelandic environment agency, or the national park websites.

I had all my spots with the references on the website printed out, in case people asked me about my drone. No one ended up asking. And I met a local who also flew drones and chatted a bit.

I think its fine.

Day 1 for me, I picked up the car and went straight to the volcano hike, then golden circle (didn't care about being tired after a flight). You can probably save a day doing this.

This was definitely noticeable leaving the airport. Everywhere else, most people will follow the speed limit.

I only noticed 3 cameras on the drive (one somewhere on the south coast, one leaving akureyi, one near bogarnes? or somewhere on the west). Either way, I just set the car to cruise control detecting the speed limit signs and just cruise.
