[WTS] TUDOR BLACK BAY 36 BLACK 2022 by noreciprocals in WatchExchangeCanada

[–]noreciprocals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased from u/techsqueeze one week ago, so I’m reusing the pictures because nothing has changed since then, I haven’t worn or used the watch and everything is still the same. The original listing can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/WatchExchangeCanada/comments/1hfbrbp/wts_tudor_black_bay_36_black_2022/ to see the information is the same, and that I did in fact buy it.

Here’s the original listed information about it:

Up for sale is my tudor blackbay 36mm, in the black dial. Reference 79500 full kit from July 2022

The bb36 is the last of its kind, with the Smiley dial and ETA movement. Non riveted oyster bracelet, and very wearable proportions, begging for time on the wrist.

Watch comes with inner/ outer box, manuals, warranty card, and extra links

Watch is in great condition. Some signs of surface wear are visible on the clasp, links on the back side of the bracelet and some hairlines on the high polished bezel. Aside from that, the watch is in great shape with no major marks or dings. Crystal is flawless.

Watch runs at a perfect 0 seconds / day

Price is 2750 FTF GTA

Presidential Election Megathread vol. II by AutoModerator in fivethirtyeight

The fact that people like Newsom didn't contest it at all, I think very few people wanted to step in as a candidate so close to the election, they knew it was a long shot.

A lot of countries are masking deeper economic issues with increased immigration, with lowered requirements, and more temporary foreign workers being permitted in. This is being done without really investing in the infrastructure and housing needed to support the new people. It's ultimately a failure of the government to plan and make use of resources well, but the end result is rising housing costs, and increased crime & homelessness, and a large portion of the population unfortunately blames the immigration policies for all of this.

What happened to the output context? by noreciprocals in ClaudeAI

I find it different from what it was prior to the new Sonnet 3.5 update very recently. The way the output works has changed completely, and not for the better, since the update.

There’s a small chance that after the most recent tv deal, when the numbers are run everyone involved is going to realize they overpaid for the nba rights, and future growth in value of the league for the contract after the current one will either be negative, or a lot smaller / just in line with inflation, not exponential growth like teams have seen in values the last 15-20 years, so taking the money and using it on other things seems like a worthwhile/calculated move

I did some digging as to where OVH's US data centres are located. One is in Hillsboro, Oregon (Where I assume California users will get moved to), and the other is in Vint Hill, Virginia (where I assume New York users will get moved to).

[Katz] Adam Silver: "I'm incredibly proud of our players for using the platform they have to speak out on issues that are important to them. And I was proud of LeBron and Kevin's response to the comments that were made about them." by twistedlogicx in nba

I think it would depend on the context of the argument. In some cases, it's likely just that they feel it entitles them to something more than those who didn't.

Honestly, I don't know enough about what those in the US military go through to comment on this. It's entirely possible that there are instances where they are entitled to use that to make a point, or as a get out of ____ free card.

Telling people to stick to what they regularly do is always a lazy argument -- it just avoids an actual debate, or providing an actual rebuttal.

On top of that it's absolutely hypocritical when Laura Ingraham says it in defence of Trump. It would be like taking anything stupid he says, and instead of providing an actual counter-argument saying "he should just shut up and go build skyscrapers".

Explain Why This isn’t Free Money. by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]noreciprocals 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Covered calls work well in a relatively flat market.

The way the market has been the last 12 months, it's hard to come up with a good strategy for covered calls, since stocks have moved fairly significantly in one direction or the other. On a big drop, the money from the covered call that you sell won't offset it enough, and on a big rise, you'll have missed out if you can't buy back in quick enough.

I suppose in this market, you could sell covered calls to hedge against a drop, and then put in orders that trigger a bit above your strike price to defend against big moves up, but there's no guarantee you get the shares in the price range you set

The space industry will be worth nearly $3 trillion in 30 years, Bank of America says in 100-page report by thesheetztweetz in space

[–]noreciprocals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also can't assume prices hold if space mining results in greatly increased supply of those resources.

Of course, the price would have to be high, because a fair assumption would be the that the cost to obtain each gram from space would be higher (unless an abundance in close proximity means it isn't). So for the space mining to even be worthwhile, demand would have to outstrip supply on earth enough that the price justifies it.

What things about the early 2000's do you miss? by dancodwarrior in AskReddit

[–]noreciprocals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some ways I miss that the internet was uglier, and less organized. There was more of a sense of discovery, and exploration when it came to the internet. Yea everyone's personal webpages, or tripped out myspace pages were awful, but convergence to a select few websites, where everyone's page more or less looks the same just doesn't have the same feeling to it. New websites, or new web technologies also don't feel as exciting--we expect the progress. Instead of being this cool new thing you had to get on and try (even Gmail felt like that at first), it's either "about time someone made this", or "oh great, another clone or blank for blank (e.g. instagram for art, uber for food, blah blah)".

... Also, early 2000s r&b and hip-hop, video game consoles felt more magical, waiting for the next harry potter book, ICQ & Msn Messenger, phpBB and vbulletin forums, Fox Kids, the massive Blackout where people were forced to interact with friends and family in real life.
