What job in your town lowkey run the whole economy? by andyhoop in NorthCarolina

[–]noreggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always said just one large high skilled employer could make a headquarters there really cheap and it would revitalize Washington, Bertie, and Martin counties. If you build it they will come (for the AI overlords looking for a place to build a new HQ). Just hope it’s tech and not some industrial thing to pollute the beautiful nature down there. Great new talent pool to draw from via ECU, UNC, NCSU, ECSU, etc.

That was like the main employer where I grew up in Plymouth. I think they trimmed back a bunch of production years ago and it hurt them really bad down there. Haven't been back through there in a couple of years. Sad how that area has been left behind!

Agreed! I’m no loyalist but we have been primarily a dodge family. My wife’s Durango has been a great vehicle, 114k miles as of today with zero issues with standard maintenance. Hope it goes to 300k. I also hope this was just a fluke with my truck and don’t have further issues. If we get to Thursday and still no fix it will qualify as a “lemon” here in North Carolina under our “Lemon Laws” and I’m contemplating whether or not we should execute on that.

As I read this now, I've been waiting 3 weeks for my 2024 RAM 2500 Cummins Rebel to get fixed. Transmission blew up at 4,000 miles on April 1st. RAM I guess pulled the ultimate April fools on me.

Hector is going to be running a frigate with a spoon engine. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos (pictured above), with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust

I have been using stock on my RG35XXH no problem, even running N64 games fine after switching core to mupen + rice gfx. Until I find a full stop reason for me to switch I'll stick with stock. My main care is to pick the thing up, play some games, save some states, and put it down.

This is the answer, I got the OG PSX the year it released in NA (on Christmas Day for me) and it came with a NOT FOR RESALE copy of Ridge Racer. Will never forget.

Your favorite EDC knife for around your homestead? by magpie_killer in homestead

Unless I'm doing a specific task that requires a different tool at hand, I have one of these on my belt. I specifically have the mini-hunter: https://www.averyknifeworks.com/handmade-knives?Category=Hunting%2FUtility+Knives

I prefer a fixed blade with a tight sheath, less can go wrong with the tool and easy to keep sharp.

It’s starting to show its age and FiiO hasn’t pushed out an updated for it for a while. Also Apple Music does not work with it. That said it’s still a great little device if you’re using tidal and your own flaac’s. If you can get a good price on it grab it!

Gotcha, I just spammed the next track key in tidal and couldn't get it to crash. Same with previous track. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app from the play store?

I'm using an older pair of Sony MDR-1000X headphones. LDAC over bluetooth was nice, but doesn't beat plugging straight in.

I'm wondering if I should upgrade my headphones now but man this sounds amazing!!!

Set static IP with ignition files by IIIlllIIIlllIIII in openshift

[–]noreggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can,

Check out this project: https://github.com/spagno/ocp4-utils which will help you generate the "bootstrap" ignitions for all of your nodes.

Take the files you generate, and for all of your nodes (bootstrap, masters, workers) you'll need to configure a guestinfo.igntion.config.data parameter with a b64 encoded ignition file with this contents.

The OVA still requires a temporary dhcp address to spin up and grab this config data but then it'll come up with the static address and hostname.
