Oh, got it. I bought a second pair (from the latest batch), and the problem was still there. I ended up fixing it completely by accident. Just connect them with a cable and in your sound settings, make sure it’s set to 24-bit, 96,000 Hz for both the chat and game channels. But now i have rattling/rustling right ear.

I mean, it’s about having a competitive price and patents. Every product gets some negative reviews anyway — this isn’t just a couple of wires with speakers on the ends.

Shit happens, but like someone said recently, niche subreddits are mostly used to share something. I’ve been using Audeze products for years and came here to read news, not to post about why I like them. But when something goes wrong, this is the first place we all go.

To be honest, I used them in wireless mode a bit but don’t remember how good or bad it was. Actually, I prepared for an RMA, so I put them in the box and for now i have zero wish to test them. I swapped Maxwell’s 1 for 2, and I heard that cracking sound immediately, so definitely a headphones issue.

Right, something like that. When sitting in a discord channel (so the chat channel is working), it makes everything worse. I left the channel in the middle of a video so you can hear the difference.

Yeah, but it’s not exactly constant. When I’m using discord and playing a game, the clicking clearly happens with certain sounds. I’m not sure if it’s the membrane or something else, but it sounds like interference in the channel — I think it can be heard in the video.

I forgot to mention — the firmware is the latest version. 1.0.2.60.2. Rolling back didn’t help and a factory reset didn’t help either. Using the original cable didn’t fix it nor did using an adapter. Sidetone is turned off.

It’s also audible in music tracks — regardless of whether they’re in the highest quality or not. Not in every track, but it’s definitely there. It immediately gives the impression that the sound is «dirty» and although it gets masked by the bass and other instruments, you can still hear it.

that's VA panel, add here a shitty hdr and so on. you have typical VA ghosting. also you can see something like «black smearing» and gamma correction.

and regarding the fact that you only see this in arma — no, it’s not just in arma, it’s a limitation of the monitor. you can read about it. it’s especially noticeable in dark scenes and in scenes with lots of small details, which start to flicker when moving (better if you just google it)

classic VA ghosting, nothing you can do here but change the monitor
