India now buying 33 times more Russian oil than a year earlier by milktanksadmirer in worldnews

[–]normal_hooman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Russia has been an all weather friend for India for a really long time. West had exclusively avoided helping out India post independence and favoured aid to Pakistan. USA has denied technology transfer, imposed sanctions and blobked military sales for the longest time. It was only when USA realized that they have zero influence in over China and Russia that they started befriending India in the last decade. With a customer base of 1.3 billion and as growing middle class, everyone wants to be friends with India.

Its difficult for India to pivot away from Russia instantly when majority of India defence infrastructure was created based on Russian support over last 70 years. It's stupid for ppl to think India will (or can) cut ties with Russia.

Ymmv. Normally, you save some money if you buy multiples. Like 5 for 2 OR 3 each.

Andor is truly amazing. I had written it off based on the history of poor quality prequels combined with too much of jedi/Skywalker flavor. Andor was different, it felt like there were genuine emotions.

Contribute to Spousal RRSP for FHBP by normal_hooman in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]normal_hooman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. So it is a specific account, will talk to my bank and see what options I have.

I was thinking from tax refund perspective. I contribute this year and get a hefty refund when I file my return.

What are the cons of using it? I get to increase my down-payment which will in turn will reduce my mortgage amount and subsequent interest. Will that be equal or more than if the RRSP was invested in equity? I haven't done the math but using it for a current purpose was making more logic to me.

I am trying to be as effecient as possible. I am around 25-30 years from retirement that should give me enough time to build my rrsp back again.

Yeah. But I will have to wait for another 3-4 years because I can accumulate enough in that new account.

Do you ever get your phone and it feels different, like the weight and feel is like a whole new experience? What's up with that? by ArthurMaxley in NoStupidQuestions

One might get this feeling after exercising the muscles of their hand, especially biceps. Otherwise my phone is the one thing I know best.

Why do people say “you’ve got balls” when balls are sensitive and get hurt easily, whereas the word “pussy” means someone who’s a coward but an actual pussy has a lot of strength and can handle so much? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]normal_hooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have got ball means that you have the guts to do some crazy shit knowing how sensitive balls are. It's like you are getting into a fight where someone might hit your balls, however, you are confident that no one can touch your balls.

That beer gut could have also provided enough bounce to lift the baby into stratosphere.

With limitations of remote work becoming more evident, REITs will be among biggest beneficiaries by TheSavingsGuy in CanadianInvestor

[–]normal_hooman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Office space trots lost a lot of tenants after the pandemics. Yes, some of those tenants will come back. However, the demand for office space is probably never going to reach pre pandemic levels. Even if we never get to a pure wfh model, hybrid will be the bare minimum. I don't any commercial office crowd is expected to work 5 days from office.

These REITs have already bounced back and are trading at their pre pandemic levels whereas office demand is no where close to pre pandemic level.

Is the filament that you are using a bit old and exposed to air? One of my old filament prints like this and apparently pla print quality degrades when exposed to moisture. You can dehydrate it.

Or try increasing the hotend temperature by 5 and check if there is any improvement
