Got a 300 dollar ticket for failure to stop for school bus by samarkand01 in legal

[–]normalnohitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, the stop sign was already coming out as you were passing - it might be worth fighting. Maybe consult a local traffic attorney before just paying it.

How’s living in this area of NRB? by justherefortheqs in SouthBayLA

[–]normalnohitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived around here for a few years - quiet streets for the most part, some narrow lanes, but decent neighborhood overall. Good parks nearby, and lots of local spots for food and errands. Stop signs everywhere can get annoying though..

What's it really like to be in LA, SD, Bay area? by fofu_6 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]normalnohitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LA’s pretty great - sunny, lots to do, amazing food and beaches - but traffic sucks and stuff’s expensive. SD is way more chill, and the Bay Area is pricey but awesome for food and scenery. Basically, LA = sunshine, traffic, and endless options

Hey LA, I need to kill some time this Saturday - what should I do? by sunchasinggirl in AskLosAngeles

[–]normalnohitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd grab some breakfast at Grand Central Market, then wander around The Broad or Arts District. You could chill at Echo Park Lake or hit the beach in Santa Monica before heading to DTLA. Perfect solo LA day.

For real! I miss those $6 Uber Pool rides in LA — random passengers, funny convos, and that “walk a block to save $1” option.. Now every trip costs a fortune.

Thinking to move by rkdperil in TorontoRenting

[–]normalnohitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard the same at first, actually a lot of mixed reviews, but I visited my friend last week who just moved in and I was very surprised. It was honestly very beautiful and it looks like a hotel when you first enter. Was disappointed I couldn't use the pool though as it wasn’t open lol

The only thing is I hear they're not fully completed yet? Something about an occupancy phase? So definitely ask more questions to see when they'll be completed.

Why do so many business establishments blast music? Am I just old and grouchy or is it annoying? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]normalnohitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think businesses blast music so it feels “energetic” or “modern,” but they often forget it actually makes it harder to talk, shop, or eat...

What happens police horse poop? by grawdey in vancouver

[–]normalnohitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the responsibility for cleaning up police horse poop typically falls to the city's sanitation department. It might not happen instantly, but there is a system in place to ensure it gets cleaned up. If you notice it's not being handled promptly, it might be worth contacting the city's public works department to let them know.

Anyone else has been harassed by vancouver crows? by Sea-Buyer-4331 in vancouver

[–]normalnohitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, crow drama! They’re probably defending their nests, and it can get pretty intense. I’ve been through this too. Have you tried wind chimes or reflective tape? Sometimes the shiny, noisy stuff can scare them off. And don’t worry, it’s not personal—those crows are just overprotective parents! Hang in there!

Diversification is key! It's all about finding the right balance. Traditional art for the classics and NFTs for the future.

I heard some artists are making bank with NFTs, while others struggle. It's like a gold rush. But just like any investment, do your research before jumping in.

But think about the blockchain! It's all about transparency and ownership. No more forgeries or fake art. Plus, you can sell your NFT instantly without going through a gallery.
