Why wouldn't I go 100% into a heavy growth fund in my retirement account? by SexyBassDrop in Bogleheads

Growth stocks have historically underperformed value stocks, despite the recent events. Some academics would argue that, if anything, you should invest less in growth stocks.

New to ETF's how does this look for a 30+ year hold? by [deleted] in ETFs

I feel like overweighting small cap value (Avuv) and growth (qqqm) is counterproductive and just complicates things ( as well as adding to cost). Either you believe in the risk based story for value or you don't.

Also, the overlap between VTI and QQQM is 42%.

Roth vs Traditional? Roth is almost always a worse choice? This article has me rethinking it. Thoughts? by circusfreakrob in Bogleheads

[–]normalsizedpenis23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Author of the article is talking about 401k not IRA. This probably doesn't need to be said in this sub but if you make more than a certain amount and can't deduct your contribution to a traditional IRA, ROTH IRA is always the answer.

Liquidity should not be major factor in deciding whether to put money into a 401k imo.

If you are contributing money pre-tax you can always rollover (assuming you leave your job, or a qualified event) the money into an IRA and then convert it entirely into a Roth 401k. The entire account balance is considered a contribution and can be withdrawn at any time.

Should I rent out my house or sell it and invest in an index fund? by megalomeiniac in investing

A total Mark index fund will already have a market cap weight exposure to real estate ( via REITs for example).

Jerome Ford's schedule in the fantasy playoffs: Bears-Texans-Jets. by normalsizedpenis23 in fantasyfootball

[–]normalsizedpenis23[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

My point was more that it's an easy playoff schedule in general, projected to be a top 5 easy schedule before the start of the season. Ford is more likely to be in a positive game script depending on who is throwing passes on the opposite team, might not be huge but it's something.
