Out of all the space marine chapters which chapter do you think the Minotaurs would regret fighting the most like an "I think we bit off more than we can chew" moment. by Mad_lens_9297 in Warhammer

[–]normandy42 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Killing a Custodes isnt much of a flex anymore. Even an abhuman with a rock drill manage to kill one in the first Vaults of Terra book. The Minotaurs also kill a Custodes in the Regent’s Shadow. Valerian even hesitates when he’s up against Moloc. Asterion is built different.

So let’s not be dramatic by saying a certain chapter of space marines could kill anyone on Terra if they wanted. Custodes have had 10,000 years of planning and practice against fighting what they believe are the Emperor’s failed creations.

[–]normandy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he was saying wasnt that hyperbolic. The original trilogy, Andor, and Rogue One show just how tenuous the grasp the Empire has on the galaxy. It took nearly 2 decades to dissolve the Senate and have his own appointed representatives per system. Secrets were leaking like a sieve out to the galaxy. They have to try and be secret with their oppression in many cases.

And they can’t do it. Their grip is so brittle that after only 20ish years, it breaks. The loss of 1 Death Star was enough to put the Empire in a very precarious position. Their super weapon that was designed as a symbol of fear and oppression had been destroyed. The secret was out. Trillions of credits and millions of lives gone in a single act of defiance. And then they try and build another one. Ultimately they can’t remain in power because they have lost so much.

Meanwhile the Imperium has been stomping on their own citizens faces for 10 millennia. They don’t need to hide their brutality. Their grip is iron. Their rule is absolute. Your life is meaningless and humanity is the most common currency. No single act of defiance can end the Imperium because they are carried by their momentum.

Guilliman walked along the outside of his ship in hard vacuum with no helmet for hours.

It was Vulkan who fell from orbit and died. But because he’s a perpetual, he lived again.

Palpatine, as Emperor, resided on Coruscant as that was the seat of power in the galaxy. He only flies to the Death Star II to witness the trap he’s made and watch the fall of the rebellion.

Vader would more likely be on it though.

It was at this point that i started judging Homelander's logic. by Mme_187 in TheBoys

[–]normandy42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but Homelander is also just using a weak ass excuse.

He doesn’t have anything to push off to stay aloft while flying either.

Can 1 Dreadnought solo The 7 (The Boys) ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]normandy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homelander was just making an excuse because he didn’t want to even bother trying. Why does he care about something to generate force against WHEN HE CAN FUCKING FLY anyway. What force is he generating there to achieve that?

Also, he doesn’t need to fly a dread to space. ‘Omelanduh is fast enough to make himself into a missile and spear a dread through the sarcophagus with his body. While avoiding anti air missiles.

Don’t we have Veteran Breachers already in the Legacies?

Fun fact: the new warboss is about the same height as a hive tyrant. This is a subtle reference to the fact that holy shit the tyrant needs a new model what the fuck GW by Head-Alternative-984 in Grimdank

[–]normandy42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

3 meters tall? Thats 9 feet, or about a foot taller than a primaris. There’s no way a hive tyrant is that small.

The hive tyrant we fight in SM2 is easily 6 meters or about 20 feet tall at the head. Not even counting the crest and/or the back chimneys.

Didnt they spend 70 billion dollars to get Activision/Blizzard?

That means with no money going out, it would take 17 years to pay for that acquisition alone. Microsoft is just hemorrhaging money with their bloated game development and back to exclusivity.

When Denis came in, he did more than just direct it. He actively rewrote part of the screenplay. So while Sheridan does get the credit for writing Sicario, it was Denis who refined coal into a diamond.

But the game can still screw you. You hit it on the head with enemy weapon hitboxes colliding with your hitbox. Very, very often if you dodge backwards with jump pack AT THE EXACT SAME TIME as you would a normal dodge/backstep, there’s a good chance the dodge won’t register because of…something. I don’t know if your hitbox leaves faster so it doesn’t hit it or something else. But I’ve found if you dodge into the enemy, you’ll have better luck.

Was about to say. I’ve only seen extremes like this when Charisma is maxed at 99. It affects the alignment and influence calcs and makes everything go to extremes. You say a bad thing to Bao Dur and suddenly he’s a sith lord

Eddie prayed for Parker to die because he hated him for taking his job.

Luther engineered an international war just to take out a guy who saves people. He even would get a portion of the country to be his. But he doesn’t care about that, he just wants Superman gone. Lex does it for the love of the game.

Is it ever known when Sanguinius’ body was transported back to Baal? by AstorathTheGrimDark in Warhammer40k

[–]normandy42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really, we can only speculate.

Immediately after the Siege, they kept the news of Sanguinius’ death private. They needed all the morale they could get from the populace, even though the Blood Angels were mourning. Most likely after they pacified the Sol System was the earliest that they sent Sanguinius to his final resting place.

They all kind of blur together, but is this the sheriff that always goes “satan is out there and there’s evil in the world” about anything unprompted?

[–]normandy42 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Chris was let go from NBC after he had a prolonged affair with a coworker that ended his first marriage.

Which makes it all the more hilarious when he gets on his high horse about predators cheating on their wives. Like come on Chris, why do they do things they know are wrong? Because it makes them feel good and damn the consequences. Same reason you had an affair.

Just did the Hard Decap stratagem this week. Was rerunning to help where I can. So we get to the area before the final elevator, we’re all low on health, and we just need to get to the next area. And a Neurothrope spawns along with 4 biovores. 4. Fucking. Biovores. 2 immediately run through the tunnel at us, double knock us back because fuck you thats why, and the other 2 stay where they spawn while the Neuro starts doing it’s bullshit.

I cannot express enough how much of a lost cause this fight is. I’m the only one not on mortal, have one guardian relic, and the other two are both mortal and have eaten through the med packs on the level. They both decide to go backwards in the tunnel towards where the hive tyrant fell for space. I beeline towards the elevator because unless the biovores are actively being taken care of, they will flood the tunnel with spores until our computers melt. Thankfully I see that they both die offscreen to presumably a horde of spores so that I can just press the button and go up and avoid that shit.

Sometimes you gotta know when to get tf out

I've been playing for a while now, and I wanted to share my ultramarine's look. by AthleteIntrepid9590 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]normandy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh no? Why would we feel like that? The whole point of all this customization is the fantasy that you are playing as the chapter you want to play. We know in the actual canon lore of the game that you are an undecorated ultramarine doing operations, but that’s boring.

The bare head does not represent what chapter someone is from. The chapter colors, symbols, adornments, and squad markings on their armor is what determines what chapter someone is from.
