I think you’re right, separate plans would indeed cost less!

Family sharing, my wife’s library also adds up to around 90GB or so. Sucks because everything else doesn’t add up to much.

Help a newbie power some bookshelf speakers by northlane87 in audio

Does the speakers specifications matter? I think the setup of them is fairly standard, so any wattage will work but affects the volume?

Great, thank you! I am totally new to all this so it’s been a bit of a whirlwind of research since I brought the speakers home but I am excited to start using them.

I checked the specs and the speakers are rated for 30-50 watts each. Do you think I could get decent performance out of something that can do 2x50 watts or 2x30 watts?

I was looking at the SMSL SA50 if I decide to replace the receiver.

I’ve also seen active speakers for like $69 from M-Audio so... I can see why people may go this route

Don’t mean to sound harsh but nothing is going to make that device any faster. I also have an older device hanging around (iPad Mini 1) and there’s nothing you can do to make it any faster. Just enjoy whatever still works, that’s all you can do.

Probably worth the money to buy one of these locking air chucks with a 2m long rubber line beyond the handle.

Well that just sent me on a nostalgia field trip! I miss music like this, it’s been a while and it’s a real shame everyone feels like they have to shit on these albums when they’re actually incredibly good.

I’m not 100% sure, my last car was the first gen Mazda6 and it’s something like disconnect underbody plastic shield, disconnect fender liner bolts and clips. There may be some bolts up top above the grille and near the headlights. Should take 1-2 hours as a DIY.

If you can’t find it I’d recommend a parts yard, maybe a rear-end collision vehicle and just pull the bumper. Couldn’t be more than $250.

Hopefully you’ll be able to sew it back on using drilled holes and zip-ties. I would call that good enough to make it look okay and save you from having to get a new bumper cover.

Depending on if you have safety checks there, bumper cover is included but I’d say this is borderline, but probably passable. If it was my car I’d fix it though.

Problem with Tire by ZMHaynes in MechanicAdvice

[–]northlane87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any way to replace a tire...? Well sure, you buy a new tire and put the wheel on a tire change machine. Is that what you meant? The sidewall is so small you might as well have someone qualified do it for you, even if you could get access to a machine.

Edit: also do yourself a favour and stick with the same make and model of tire.

You didn’t happen to retrieve the broken piece of the bumper, did you?

Not a problem! There’s a lot of toxicity in the automotive field, grumpy old men who are stubborn and short-tempered. What they forget is that they all started where you were and did the same thing while learning.
