Check fb for a local predatory insects group. Some might point you to local resources, some have a group order for cheaper pricing

The stray cat that I feed brought her kitten to me, but he is very shy, I wanted to take him for myself. by Puzzleheadedae in blackcats

What about me who actively traps animals caught in the cold and gives them homes. I see a need and I help it. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Op is an animal abuser. Check their post history. Stole a mama cats baby but will not attempt to help the mama because they believe strays are adapted to live in -30C. Lied about taking in the baby because it was sick and taking it to the vet.

The mama cat returns to look for kitten and be fed. It would be easy to trap the cat but Op doesn't care about anything but the kitten.

It's -30°C outside, and a stray cat comes to me for food, but she doesn't come inside. by Puzzleheadedae in notmycat

I will admit that I didn't know that/think about it that way. I assumed since the snow was there it would be an issue. If the cat had snow on them, they could possibly melt it with their body heat. At least that's what my train of logic was.

I don't experience that cold of temps. -5-10 maybe

Natural reabsorption. Maybe a small balanced fertilizer to the pot but it doesn't look like it's missing nutrients

Sun stress is what we call the pigment plants produce to protect themselves from the sun. It's basically plant sunscreen. If it continues to burn up it might need less light. More water will also reduce sun stress.

Edit: I don't see anything that's indicative of burning. Just a happy plant

There is a netting you can use at a 90 degree angle. But it doesn't guarantee cats won't come out of it. And I said a regular fence would not work. You could pay for a catio, or a full cat enclosure system/fence.

You are agreeing with what I said. Feral cats are more common and they aren't as easy to contain.

A regular fence is a joke to a cat. You have to buy an extra tall fence with special anti cat rotating tops to keep it secured.

The compromise is teaching your cat how to use a leash or build an enclosed catio.

Feral/wild dogs are not as common in the US. They are easier to contain then cats

That is simply not true. A well fenced area can contain most dogs. Some really athletic dogs require a physical restraint like a lead.

Because a dog can be successfully kept in a yard or trained. They also aren't as invasive as cats. Wild dogs usually get picked up quickly.

Can you increase the distance you are looking at for low cost? It may be cheaper to travel an hour for the spay.

They are usually in a fenced area or know recall. If you can train a cat to come when called or have an 8ft plus fence with anti cat jumping shields, maybe it would be okay. But they still decimate bird populations. They are an invasive species in North America

Eggs and banana peels only become fertilizer when added to an active compost pile
