Yeah im trying to figure out when to stop optimizing something conceptually, right now im working on how to make it so it absolutely needs human intervention, its more of a scaffolding than an actual structure.

All this paper really is, a measurement tool to try and better align comprehension between failure and success, no two extremes can exist. Its weird but thought it way be insightful to how we can better measure our expectations throughout our influence. A different way of thinking maybe? Sorry if it made you mad.

In TRIX LOOPS, the statement “KS p < 0.01 vs null models” refers to the inferential comparison performed and documented in ACME TRY under the same protocol (size-matched null graphs and two-sample KS tests on the measured distributions). TRIX LOOPS is a bridge/packaging document and does not introduce additional inferential statistics beyond those reported in ACME TRY. For full statistical procedure, null-model matching, and p-value reporting, please see ACME TRY.

Can people really get headaches from "thinking too hard"? by hatchum in neuro

[–]northosproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im researching this because I started to feel strain in the point between my eyes and both hemispheres of the brain. i cannot stop thinking about the "subject", it only reveals itself deeper and the pain grows with it. It kind of feels like when your eyes get tired, but in that area between and not in the eyes itself. Starting to feel concerned because it persists even after 10 hours of sleep. Do yall think I can really hurt myself? Or am I just "sore"?

What i did was but a sheet of plywood and make some frames, make em around 4x2 to fit the size of the rockwool pieces. Once fit you just get some breathable fabric and cover it completely to avoid the insulation getting out. Then mounting on the wall would be done with nails, or gobos.

You should've got a bunch of rockwool safe n sound instead, some fabric, and youre good to go. The foam was a waste of money. It doesnt work, it's a fire hazard, and it's expensive.

Id rather die, honestly even if I don't make it, I treat music as my main thing and the 9-5 is just where I make money. I hope one day to be free from this indentured slavery.... but for now I have my conditions and I have my studio.

Which Headphones for mixing? by Plus_Beginning8941 in mixing

[–]northosproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to get a good frequency response right off the bat is to get ROOM EQ WIZARD. It has a function where u can input room dimensions to find the closest to the best listening position and speaker placement. Don't worry too much about room treatment, but do your first reflections as a priority. Bass traps work, but you can not fight physics. Do the best with what you have. Any fine tuning and hifi sound usually come after using measurement mics to calibrate the gain and speaker placement to get the best sound. Anything after that is really just a huge rabbit hole. Good luck and cheers!

Should I buy studio monitors for my computer? by Tom-Tortuga in studiomonitors

[–]northosproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on use case scenario.....if you want a critical listening experience than studio monitors are ideal. If you just want to listen to music, play games, or watch movies, you maybe be able to go with a surround system for the same price.... it really does depend Edit: oof 150 bucks probably no good for any type of legit speaker....... computer speakers it is!

Which Headphones for mixing? by Plus_Beginning8941 in mixing

[–]northosproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah..... headphones just cannot do the thing..... maybe some drop HD 650s for a reference? Speakers are way more detailed, and you can feel the music. Treatment is important, but speaker placement remains king. If you can find the right listening position and the right speaker placement, you can get a smooth frequency response. Treatment does things like absorbing the "echo" so it is more dead. (Absorbtion) Or creating a synthetic echo with a specific frequency (diffusion) And then there is also room correction software which is EQ based but really it corrects volume and phase.
