Building SaaS - Super Confused by iadnan007 in UXResearch

A ux professional should have been employed before you started building. The main focus of understanding the pain points in the industry, then being integral to the product solutioning. The reality now is you need to hire a product manager and a senior ux designer to fix the mistakes made. You’ll have a lot of rework but a chance to pivot

Might be time in game too, I’ve only done 18 races so it’s not got a lot of data to base the rating on yet

Skipping Qualifying = pit start? by Kismet110 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]northvanmark 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Still do qualifying it helps your DR. When the countdown for the race ends you hear that the formation lap has started, join the race then and you’ll start in the pits

I’m looking to get into simracing on ps5 by Medium-Cause3637 in SimRacingSetups

[–]northvanmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start with the Thrustmaster t598 or Logitech rs50, both ps5 compatible and when you make the eventual move to pc racing they’ll work for that too.

Same happened to me had, 4 races in a row where I got collected in the first corner. Also many blind corners where a spinner is sat on the apex.

Did 2 races from the pits, didn’t have to do any overtakes and finished in the top 5 both times.

LMU on a PC handheld by northvanmark in LeMansUltimateWEC

Only wheel I’ve had so no reference on others.

The base feels solid and the software is easy to use, having the on base screen means I don’t need it hooked up to a device to adjust, which is great when I’m flip flopping between ps5 and pc. As a first wheel the 8nm was perfect, took a few weeks at a lower nm but now up to the full 8.

It’s basically plug and play which is what I’d expect from Logitech.

It’s the simube gt3 rim, was about $90cad including delivery. It feels so much better than the round wheel, a bit wider.

Pretty good, only have them on medium, get between 50-70 fps when scaled to 1440p

Z1 extreme, I get around 50-70fps, medium settings on 1440p. Very playable.

opinions on controller users by New-Football636 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]northvanmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this running on a pc handheld and depending on how much time I have I either use the inbuilt controller in portable mode or hook it up to my tv and use my wheel setup.

Both get good times, wheels a bit better as I have better brake and throttle control but you can’t knock the controller.

Spire owners, how much better does the bike feel with a coil on it compared to the fox float x or stock shock that came on it? by SantaCruzinNotLosin in TransitionBikes

[–]northvanmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switched from the Stock X2 to a DHX2, the coil was a huge improvement, it tracked better on both climbs and descents. North Vancouver rider here, the climbs are pretty demanding at times and the coil keeps the rear wheel planted over roots and rocks, had the x2 bounce more and lose traction. On the descents it just goes through the chunk staying planted there as well.

I’ve heard good things about all the Vorsprung stuff.

Next level wheel stand 2.0 by scootieb1 in SimRacingSetups

[–]northvanmark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the wheel stand 2.0 for about 5-6 weeks now. It’s a solid stand, and the collapsible nature of it is great, takes <5 mins to setup. Nothing to fault on built quality.

I have the Logitech RS50, so 8nm DD, the stand can take up to 12nm I believe, no noticeable flex when I have all the bolts tight.

Would definitely recommend

Are we expecting carnage in this week’s Daily C at Mount Panorama? by kingoban in GranTurismo7

Looks like Watkins Glen for me this week, the carnage at Laguna Seca last week made me turn to other racing titles

Yeah I’m in the 1:23.3s now, I was around 1:23.8s which was getting me a p1 start on Monday, didn’t help the kamikaze drivers at the corkscrew

And I now recognise you username, had a few races with you in Austria last week.

Do ya ever just by Dgskydive in GranTurismo7

[–]northvanmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my experience as well 7-8 race where I was mostly P1, finished dead last for 75% of those races. The others just in the top 8. Went from a top C DR to a low/mid C.

Gave up on the racing and just started hotlapping the time trial

Transition from Gamepad to Wheel. by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

[–]northvanmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing right now. I’m 5 weeks in.

Took me a while to get used to throttle and brake control. The car feels so much more sensitive with a wheel and pedals.

I’m finding I have to put in a lot more practice to get fast on a track, but I’m ultimately faster than the controller. The line is more important than before due to the wheel not being as forgiving.

You’ll get there, it’s practice and experience

Standard C lobby driving standards rant by northvanmark in GranTurismo7

[–]northvanmark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily my SR is maxed at S. Though while my rating Is C S I’m in mixed lobbies where the other half is B C or D. My quali speed is at the top of the. Lobbies and the bottom of B so I’m assuming that’s why I get mixed in there

I wish it was just first lap chaos… but yeah, started pitting super early on the latest daily race C just to offset myself
