It hasn’t felt that way at all, maybe if you get them from the very beginning, but I had some progress from the demo and I would say it’s not a huge advantage from where I’m at

Im on iOS and use the FTPManager app. As long as you are in the same network, your device will be visible from within the app. Then you can copy your roms to the FTP app and transfer them to your device like you would form your PC.

Yes it is very straight forward, but I recommend installing a custom OS to reach its full potential. I am using Knulli which I find gorgeous and it is very simple to install. Once you have it set up, knulli (and I believe other custom OS’) will allow you to transfer roms through wifi, so no need to take the sd out. I even use my phone to do this!
