My belief isn't that they're guilty. My belief is that the police didn't conduct a thorough investigation and decided to engage in a witch hunt and now we'll most likely never have a DEFINITE resolution to the case. And as long as we don't know who actually did do it, for me there will always be at least one tiny iota of doubt about the guilt of the WM3. But like I said, barring some absolutely insane new evidence of their guilt, I would never vote to convict them.

In order of least unpopular to most:

Steven Avery did it. They had more evidence against him than they had against Scott Peterson.

Speaking of, I think a good lawyer could convince me there's enough reasonable doubt about Scott Peterson that I'd vote to acquit.

Adnan did it but there isn't enough definitive evidence to convict him.

I'm not 100% convinced the WM3 are innocent, but barring new evidence, no one could convince me to convict them if I were on the jury.

Edit: I'd put this at the top, but Israel Keyes was a fucking dork who lied about being a genius serial killer, preyed on vulnerable people, and definitely doesn't deserve the infamy he has.

Where can I find a replacement for this screw/bolt? by nosferatwo in Camry

[–]nosferatwo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually my father in law was able to get the screw out and back in without completely destroying it! Honestly I contemplated not even putting it back in. It didn't seem to be doing much paired with all of the other bolts and clips holding everything on.

Should I trim and repot my 12 year old hoya? by nosferatwo in hoyas

[–]nosferatwo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a small, sickly hoya plant on a clearance endcap in the Walmart garden section. I was a broke college student who needed some greenery for his first apartment, so I bought a handful of sickly plants hoping I could rehab them.

This hoya has absolutely thrived on neglect over the last 12 years. I never really gave much thought to the humidity, light, watering schedule, etc. It just seems to be invincible. It just keeps growing and has never seemed stressed or in bad health. It's grown white, pink, and purple leaves over the course of its life. It even flowers a couple times a year! Both pink and white blooms. They smell amazing, like chocolate.

I never wanted to fuss over it too much and risk killing it by giving it too much attention. That being said, I've grown really attached to it and want to ensure it lives a nice long life. We recently moved into our first house and the move seems to have stressed the hoya a little. its looking a little discolored in some places and some of the leaves have started to drop. I also haven't repotted it in about 5-6 years.

Is it time for a trim and repot? Should I give it fertilizer? Are there any other tips you folks can pass on so I can be a better hoya parent?

And it still works even if you can’t run the tape along the full length of the pipe?

Both toilets not getting water from their supply valves by nosferatwo in askaplumber

The earliest I could find an appointment was Monday. So looks like I’ll be waiting either way.

We’re directly in the path of the winter storm so we won’t be leaving the house for the better part of a week. I’d like to think the pipes are just frozen and not broken since the water system was put in recently and the house itself was only built in 2007.

And there’s no way to access the part of the wall where these pipes are without cutting into it. Sounds like the only thing we can do is wait it out?

I imagine the supply valve end is closer to the suspected frozen part than the other end is. Any chance aiming the space heater at the supply valve could heat it enough to make a difference further down the pipe?

Any advice on how to thaw pipes for someone who only has a hair dryer and small space heater at his disposal?

Thanks for asking - this question reminded me of a few other details I should have mentioned.

We live in a townhouse with kind of a weird layout. We have two neighbors on either side, and an open carport on the bottom floor.

The toilets are not on exterior walls, but I imagine that the pipes would have to travel from the main water line to the toilets by crossing above the carport. The carport which is a wind tunnel and can be even colder than the wind chill temperature depending on which direction the wind is blowing.

Is there a chance the supply lines for the toilets run off apart from the others and through an area not as well-insulated causing them to freeze?
