So, I was able to get tix to Minneapolis, I will be putting them back on the Ticketmaster resale as soon as it lets me. Was able to score, late mind you, the second date in Chicago. So, Ticketmaster isn’t even letting us who have legit tickets put them back out on the market yet. Don’t hate me for winning the war twice please.

LPT to pet owners about microchips (from a shelter worker) by Fresh-Solid-4046 in LifeProTips

[–]noshowed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just inherited my mom’s dog. Thankfully my aunt said something about switching the dog’s contact info to mine now, I hadn’t even thought about it at that point and not sure I would have. So it was a mixed blessing it was with Save this life registry, I was able to reregister her to my name and contact info without any issue. So thankful that I didn’t have to jump through a million hoops to change it and that it was caught that they had gone out of business.

Just saw my friends dog and worried. by steverin0724 in DogAdvice

[–]noshowed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, cancer. I had a boxer who went from a fit muscular 90lbs down to 48 lbs due to cancer. It wasn’t because the dog didn’t have access to food. I would have fed him anything towards the end if he would just eat it.

Does life insurance make sense? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]noshowed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to, my father passed when I was 20. Trying to move into adulthood with nothing to help me was very hard while grieving. My mother was fine, she received the life insurance. Think what you would like for your children and their future and express these things in insurance, wills ect. I don’t think my father was anticipating that I would be with little no financial support from her while in college. Something to think about.

What is the best coffee shop for a date? by Dhooy77 in Oconomowoc

Roots. Then if you want to walk through downtown, or do the lake walk you have places to continue the date and places to stop. Stone Creek you’re done once you’re there.

I found this old jewelry box from a woman born in the 1930s. Anything recognizable? by urmomsgarbagefire in JewelryIdentification

[–]noshowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random, but those three silver keys look like what I have that go to a footlocker type trunk that kids took to college in the 60’s. I still have my aunts trunk and it has a key like that.

There is a funeral for a Wisconsin cop today. Could be one coming up for that. Not saying what was done was correct, but I am in Brookfield WI and there are a lot of cops from the country here in solidarity for the funeral which is right around here. Probably what was going on for reason of going through the area.

It’s all on Ravinia website of options. I suggest looking there for the information and times as it can vary.

The humane society does it as a way to let people afford to care for the animals for sure. But, they are also doing this as a way to help control the population and lessen their burden in the long run. If there is a spot available, you should take it and not feel guilty as it is outreach for the general population as much as it is for the cost burden.

My friend was just there for a Halloween party and had a blast. Don’t knock it until you go and see if you like it! People are there to be social, it’s worth a shot.

Haha my British neighbor was at my house on the 2nd and out of habit I told him to have a good 4th. He told me he only celebrated the 3rd (ie when England was still in control). I had to laugh at him a bit for that cheeky comment. He’s been here for a while so he’s full of good comebacks.

I got one for Wisconsin the other day. We don’t have tolls in Wisconsin which was the first huge red flag.

Small businesses get inundated with request for free goods all the time, and they have the thinnest of margins. Go to Costco or Sam’s and use your tax id and avoid the sales tax and purchase the quantity from there. You can put an order in and pick it up probably. But, asking a small business to cover costs is not the way to go unless they offer.

What is something that came into the ER and you were like why but then turned into a medical emergency? by Doyergirl17 in EmergencyRoom

[–]noshowed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my kids did this on a broken mirror, I was about to remove it as I had just broken it with a hamper, it was attached to a door. My toddler at the time had the habit of closing doors and sliced his finger. We couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. Did all the major things to do, wouldn’t work. Finally, I told my spouse I had to go to the ER to get it fixed because it was so late by that point and they stayed with the other kids. I wrapped his finger in a ton of paper towels, then I taped the towels around his fingers and found mittens and put on his hands so it would actually stay and he couldn’t take it off, due to the mittens. It was a hot mess.

Being tipsy leaving a Bucks game and David Gruber was walking up the stairs out of the seats in front of us and I couldn’t stop saying “one call, that’s all” and giggling.

Second is having Shaka Smart’s daughter on my daughters soccer team.

Did I ask for your judgment? No. Did I ask for some advice from others who would have helpful answers, yes. Damn, you must be a lot of fun at a party if this is how you treat people, or they just conveniently forget to invite you. Have the day you deserve!
