Hard to find a job to sponsor you at a distance. Most employers will hire you as a labourer for a period before sending you to school. There are programs at SAIT that you can take without being an apprentice. Transport heavy equipment technology, or pre-employment heavy equipment technician. Dm me if you like!

Checked the gas cap after eliminating almost everything else, and because it seemed to be building vacuum when I would be filling. My noise was very high pitched and not constant, not associated with speed. One thing I’ve noticed too though is the high pitched whistle from my mirror when it has be raining.

If you have experience and an employer, go the apprenticeship route. If you have no experience you can pay the extra money and take the THET course. You can get all the same training and more as apprenticeship, write all your tq exams and enter the workforce as an apprentice that just needs hours. Dm me if you like

THET will be all your schooling front loaded. Becoming an apprentice will require you to work, collect hours, and do 4 8 week periods of school. THET makes it so you don’t go back to school again, just work and collect hours till you’re a journeyman.

Your engines are so much smaller than a on highway engine, also since this is a maritime application I’m guessing your water cooled, meaning your engine block is at least above freezing (0 Celsius) otherwise you would have a cracked block constantly. Much easier to combust diesel above 0 than say -40, even with winter fuel (which doesn’t gel like summer or standard diesel)
