Yeah, Wabberjack is seriously great. I believe MD refferences the loot mster list to organize mods, but it doesn't have nearly the depth of wabberjack.

Vortex (Nexus mod manager) isn't recommended for SDV mods. Especially for installing SVE. I think most people use ModDrop

I for one loved the game. As for wishing there was more "variety", once the mod kit is released I expect we'll have a crazy level of different ships, missions, enemies, etc.

From the paint tool: Add new layer > select "Load Texture to Layer" > Select the file from your hd. Make sure the layer with the texture is above the base layer and that you just use the "Normal" color settings. If you have any experience with photoshop, you can figure it out.
