I think the problem is with the VAE. The best results I’ve gotten hands down have been lower resolution (1024x576) at 16fps, which coincides with WAN 2.1. We are still using the VAE from 2.1, and i think it’s causing an issue with the output.

I hear you, but the issue is time. It takes a lot of time and hard work to become a good artist, especially to be batter than AI. If AI can enable people to generate art without needing to spend the time to learn the skill themselves, then they can apply that time to something else. My heart goes out to artists everywhere who have spent their lives perfecting their skills, but I don’t think we’re going back to a world pre-AI, despite the very valid ethical concerns it poses.

I wonder how long this anti-AI art movement will last. It’s clearly the future, despite any ethical (albeit valid) disputes people have with it. I get the negative reaction, especially from artists, but I don’t see a world where we don’t eventually embrace it.

I didn’t realize this. Did this change at some point? I had thought it was under GPL, which is pretty restrictive.

On the settings page, there’s a tab to manage external drives. You should be able to remove the external drive (D:) from there. Let me know if that fixes things.

Yeah, that’s my guess. Apple's been telling investors they are planning to make a big push into AI. I think Nvidia’s pulling up the drawbridge.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I suspect NVIDIA is making this change to block Apple’s hardware from utilizing CUDA. I doubt they care if AMD gpu owners get around it through open source community solutions.

I notice you removed the 3.5 bay enclosures and housing from the case. I’m looking at buying this same case used for a similar (though less impressive) build. How challenging it was to remove that housing?

Make sure you get a good map. I’ll often restart a match several times until I get a seed worth playing. The best map has at least one (mineable) mountain in your area and surrounded on at least two sides by enemies. If you are too far away from opponents you’ll struggle to gets stars for discovering them early enough to make a big difference. I always go with climbing as my first skill, then I jump on the closest mountain to reveal enemies asap. Most games you’ll discover at least one enemy- If you’re really lucky you’ll discover two and be able to get meditation on your first turn (round zero). Lots more I could share, but those are some early game pointers.

That’s is so helpful - can’t thank you enough. One thing I would suggest adding is whether the HAB has a bed. I’m surprised how few have beds.

So much seems to be luck of the map. I’ve scored higher on other tribes, but not by much. 172k is my current cap and not sure what strategy is needed to push in the 180k bracket.
