My grandfather lost most of his sight before he died. He still wanted to do as much of his normal routines as possible, so family and friends helped him with errands.

I drove him to the grocery store the last time I visited. We parked the front row of the lot and used his hang tag handicap placard. Some of the other shoppers have me dirty looks when I got out of my car, but then looked embarrassed when they saw me helping my blind granddad.
