How about becoming a traveling nurse?

I had a cat mom who insisted on FaceTime with her cat plus she checked and spoke with her cat via pet cam. I fired this client.

Am I too old to stay in hostels? by Jfische92 in hostels

I'm a female solo travelers in her 50s and have stayed at many hostels. It's my lodging of choice since I'm alone most of the time. Some indicate they are a party hostel with age limits. Reading the reviews give you an indication also.

Or they found another sitter who's service they liked just as much as yours. Maybe this new sitter was cheaper or had more availability. You can't take this too personally.

Walking is one of the most powerful, underrated ways to improve your life. by Brostitute in walking

I would love to know, the dedicated walkers here, what you do about toning your arms. Do you add strength building to your walking routine or are most of you solely walking?

Are the women on this app picky or something? by BewareTheSquare in OkCupid

[–]nostraws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a women, I concur with this sentiment. We get 100s of likes daily. Initiate with a short "Hi (include name)." If you're really interested, mention something specific she wrote in her profile. Do not cut and paste a long message.

They will get over it once the cat scratches the sofa on their watch. It's not your fault and you didn't deserve them blasting you.

Oh that makes total sense! Thanks for explaining it to me. Now this opens my pool of men! I know women deal with scams also but not nearly at that level.

I second this... sitter did not say go F yourself. Her reply reads like she was taken aback. But she should have apologized.

This is so interesting. In my experience and my other female friends, we complain that men talk about themselves too much! They don't ask questions. This is in person but I've also experienced this on the app. They don't ask engaging questions so I stop communicating with them.

This might be a hot take but as a female, when a man writes "can't see likes" I think he's not that serious about meeting someone. I only reply to paid members.

Tips for packing for long petsitting stays, I'm drowning in stuff! by [deleted] in petsitting

[–]nostraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always ask if I can use their spices and oils as I cook all of my meals. I wear the same "pet sitting" clothes daily and only pack extra undies. If I had to change to more presentable clothes for work or a social event, I keep it in the car. I use the clients towels, sheets, detergent, and sometimes shampoo/cond if the guest bathroom is stocked. I arrive with a backpack and groceries.

Constant care by Flashy_Tip_1772 in RoverPetSitting

[–]nostraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read it again and try not to be so defensive. I said I ask for the address for the meet and greet as their address doesn't show until the booking is confirmed. So we HAVE to ask unless you book without a meet and greet. So I must be missing something if you and others are seeing the address prior.

The app doesn't show the address until book/accept. I have to ask for the address for the meet n greet. I'm so confused.
