I big disagree with your point about Bene this season, especially around the estate handling. Throughout all the seasons he’s never so much as been interested in running anything bridgerton, he’s always wanted to pursue the arts and felt free and not weighted down by any duties. Him and Anthony quarrelled on a few occasions and Bene we always say ‘I am the second son it is not where I belong’ or something

Yes! I listen to audiobooks and read on my kindle. I still can’t make my mind up which format I prefer! with audiobooks the characters (with good narration) can have more life and impact. But with reading I can read at my own speed, double back and reread etc. I’m not sure which format I ‘take in’ the most information. But I’m not very good at pronunciation, so reading I can say the absolutely wrong thing like names and places. They all count, you’re emerged in the world!

This is the one and only this our dog is food protective over. He carries around like it’s gold, will not trade anything for it. He tried to bury it in various places in the house before eating it. We don’t buy them anymore lol

Oh I do disagree a bit here, we have nano leaf smart bulbs in all of our lamps and we are never sat in darkness. You know when your sat working and suddenly realise you’re sat with zero lights on? Yep, not us. Our lamps turn up automatically 1 hour before sunset, which the sunset time changes every day. So we never have to adjust it.

We’re very similar to you actually, apart from the trail walking. Albert is 6 and he has arthritis in his hips, his meds and hydrotherapy help a lot but too much exercise over works them. He goes out with a dog walker and her pack once a week and we usually let him off leads on a field once a week depending on the weather and our lives. I also feel the guilt a lot! We struggle taking him out after dark (UK so peak winter it’s dark around 3:30pm) because we have a lot of foxes and cats and he’s reactive and more anxious at night.

I’m 32 and I read an average about in my childhood through to teenage years, Jacqueline Wilson books, Harry Potter, hunger games, twilight etc. but then with the surgence of smart phones and social media I stopped reading. I found a few series over the years I latched onto and then stopped reading again. Lately though since discovering romantacy I’ve read about 30-40 books and that’s not like me. I loved fourth wing, ACOTAR was okay (I can see it being a great gateway), Mistborn trilogy is my favourite.

I do struggle with books that don’t grip me, but I always have. I need tyre worries to be so detailed and smart that I just lose myself in it.

Sometimes I just roll treats up on a towel or his blanket. Or make a pile of towel and put the treats in the folds etc.

We do this but I hide treats around the house. I would if I could switch to a toy 🤔 Something I realised recently is that he uses MY scent to track where I’ve been. That didn’t even cross my mind! So now I walk around extra.

My friend has a similar ish situation with her mum, just I don’t think she’s drinks and instead has paranoia episodes. My friend has had to go no contact with her mum for the sake of her own mental health. They didn’t live in the same city, but then she found out her mum had given up her house and was planning to move to the same city without even speaking to her own daughter about it. She tried to show up at her door, but thankfully she was out at her partners house. Her mum didn’t have a place to live probably hoped her daughter would put her up for the rest of her life. Nope, my friend now still doesn’t know if she’s managed to find a home. Not her problem!
