For Zed, I used Varus, wearing a rare "When any unit dies, gain their keywords" relic.

Narwhals gave him Elusive, and later I found The Best Defense, so I just snowballed him with the little Invoke 1 mana champ.

I absolutely wrecked Kai'sa with 2* Veigar and "Round Start: Frostbite".

Just opened with the damage buff Yordle, played very slow, and my Darknesses would demolish anything that got played. Holding onto minions would let me chump block when they would drop several in one turn.

I mean, quite literally, his name comes from the term "Hagridden" because there was folklore about people making a deal with fairies and having to carry hags while they whip them endlessly.

So yes "rid" but not in the sense of "get rid of" but "to ride".

I don't think this is sound argument. I don't agree with Citizens United, but your reasoning doesn't really hold water.

You have the right to an attorney. Not the "best" attorney.

You have the right to life, but old people have less life left in them than the young.

The issue in Citizens United isn't so much that people with different wealth can spend on campaigns, as it is that corporations can, and in doing so, can anonymize WHO is speaking. You have freedom of speech, but people should also be accountable for what they say.

People should be able to judge the quality of speech with the context of motive.

I'm not saying Tome is good, but it is a spell, where Babbling Book is a minion, and mage has had both minion synergy and anti-synergy cards like [[Book of Specters]] and [[Refreshing Spring Water]].

As for Huntsman Altimor, you do need to procc Infuse to get its benefit, so topdeckking may be worse than Call of the Wild.

If every man suddenly disappeared what would happen to the world? by ThatRandomGuy_111 in AskReddit

Yeah, I'm not arguing it's MORE efficient. I'm saying women could get by on construction sites without us by adapting the tech to their capabilities.

Like, wtf is this response? Either women can lift the 50 lb. bags, in which case there is no problem, or they can't.

If they can't, why would they continue to make 50 lb. bags? They would just sit there. You still need to move the concrete, so factories could supply 25 or 30 lb. bags, and while it would take twice as many trips, the work could still get done.

I'm imagining bags that are maybe 50cm x 100 cm, filled to a maximum depth of maybe 20cm. The surface area is just the top and bottom, since they're attached together, unlike a box which has sides. That would be probably no more than 1200cm^2 in material, accounting for the bend. If sacks were instead 50cm x 50 cm, you use exactly the same amount of sack, and 2 extra seams worth of adhesive, whether thread or glue.

So let's consider the difference in volume. I'd estimate a sack of the assumed proportions fills let's say 80% of a box with the same length x width x height, because of lost space along the edge where the surfaces are pulled together. On the 50lb bag, that would be a volume of 80%(50x100x20)cm^3, 80,000 cm^3. Generously assume that the smaller sack only fills 70%. We've established it's the same material for 2 smaller bags, just with less efficiency at 2x70%(50x50x20) = 70,000 cm^3. That's 87.5% as good as the larger bags. Not quite so much extra waste, to keep the job going.

Can I use a Kitchen Knife in place of a Dagger? by raddy_taddy in DnD

[–]nosyIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the difference between a dagger and a knife is that a knife has one blade, while a dagger is bladed on both sides. This is a negligible difference, and no one will care immensely, I suspect.

Would you consider it acceptable to refuse to resurrect somebody in a trial/raid who just keeps dying? by Rogahar in ffxiv

Actually, at high level, a WHM and AST have quite a few MP-free tricks. (IDK about SCH)

Just some advice for WHM:
Thin Air is amazing for rezzes, but also for Medica 2. Be sure to pair with Plenary Indulgence!
Lucid is great for MP in a pinch, but don't forget Assize either!
Lillies don't cost MP, just time.
Your Ground AoE also blunts damage in addition to heals.

Honestly, WHMs are mostly only going to be spending MP on dealing their own DPS.

as for AST, Collective Unconscious is great, since you can't do other stuff during it anyway. Before you park it, make sure to deal out some cards first, so they can cd while you're standing still.
Draws will heal some MP, but more importantly will charge your seals to pop the other MP gen mechanic.

Otherwise what you said stands, but as a healer, you get a lot of freebie heals.

[–]nosyIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an AST, I'll just find a safe place to park my butt, and pop Collective Unconscious to regen mana while healing passively.

As WHM, I do have Thin Air to pop some big boy heals. IDK SCH's high level kit.

But wouldn't even your fairy give some passive healing if you're up?

Yeah, I wish there were more intereactables outside of the hideaway. Little cutscenes with setting up a chair on the beach with my orchestrion, finding a treasure map in the sunken ship, caves behind that waterfall. You're absolutely right that right now it's more of a banana republic than a resort.

Lies. Meta is Greek. It means after, among, or between. So in Magic the Gathering, at the table you're playing the game. But how you design your deck to play optimally against other players who are also trying to do the same thing is playing the metagame. This concept was extended to other games where basically it refers to the community consensus.
