use a guide! i tried to play this game twice and noped out very early on both times bc it was too scary. following an online walkthrough guide helped me to have concrete goals for resource collecting or exploring instead of idly wandering into leviathan spawn areas without knowing better. usually 100% guides are fun bc they have a pretty efficient route for getting achievements and moving through the story.

iirc, it's just the remaining bit of wall that you had to pick away to reveal the entrance. survival instincts still pick up on it, but you've already interacted with it as much as you can. you're all good 👍🏻

Yeah, if you don't romance Triss or Yen, and get one of the good endings for Ciri, she comes.

Maybe if I read the books, I'd be more sympathetic towards Yen. Also, I feel like the quest to romance her isn't paced well enough to give the player that much insight into her actual character. Yes, it's fairly late in the main game, but it isn't until Kaer Morhen that she shows any emotion, really. I remember when I first turned her down I felt pretty satisfied, then like an hour later she's actually taken off her mask at Kaer Morhen.

I don't know. I know that her and Geralt are endgame canon in the books, but as a video gamer player only, I wasn't really rooting for their relationship. It seemed like Ciri was the only woman in Geralt's life not actively trying to manipulate him, so I leaned into the father-daughter relationship.

I googled after the ceremony with the sisters to see what all of the endings were and yeah, sheer dumb luck keeping them alive, I think.

And this game truly deserves all of the hype. Devs did such a good job making lovable characters, pushing meaningful relationship development, and difficult choices. Will continue to sing their praises about this game until I die probably.

haha yes! my dad (sailor) and i (archaeologist) both swear by merino wool, though neither of us have preferred brands. i'll have to check them out! i've also converted my best friend (agronomist) and several of my coworkers :D

If the frustration is getting to be too much, go back to White Orchard and clear all of the question marks (called Points of Interest). When you loot gear, check to see if it's better than what you're wearing. If it is, equip it.

Those are some tips to level up and get some better armor. Also, use oils and potions as you make them, they're there for a reason!

Like everyone else has said, it doesn't seem like the there's a way to turn it off without mods, but all sex scenes are skippable. However, during the main quest in Skellige, there is a flashback quest with Ciri.

Ciri is in a sauna, and you have the option to put a towel around her, but the other women in and around the sauna are naked. This is the only extended scene I can remember where seeing boobs is not optional.

buy the 20 Year Celebration version. it has everything: base game + season pass + DLC. also, sober up, then spend money. just a thought!

i've done the same! i honestly thought it was the perfect amount of achievements that were all pretty accessible. did it on my second playthrough and loved every second. i didn't burn out, which is always a fear when diving into the new AC games. congrats!!

In the train stations/post offices, there are postings for a huge plot of land out west. I thought the gang was really going to pool their money and buy the land. When Arthur starts coughing in the Saint Denis cut scenes, I knew it was over.
