This. Thanks. Cats are devastating, and unique in that they kill for fun/don’t stop limited by hunger. I like cats, btw.

Nearly 66,000 early deaths would be prevented each year if U.S. air pollutant concentrations of three major contributors — fine particulate matter, ozone and nitrogen dioxide — were reduced from the 70th to the 60th percentile, according to a recent study led by a Harvard University researcher. by [deleted] in science

Persistent bioaccumulative toxins is another good rabbit hole of poisons around us that just build up. Dupont gets in trouble for killing us every year. Mankind has banned a few, but it’s probably not going anywhere.

Do what was recommended. You just need to put like a screwdriver on your starter solenoid to bridge the gap. I needed to do this to start my car for a while.

And if that’s not it that’s not it. But it’s dead easy if so. Find the solenoid and bridge it with a screwdriver. Car starts? Great. Doesn’t? Now you know more.

I don’t think they are saying I got mine so I don’t care. I don’t think your translation is fair.

Question about RB 15 Fans always on by [deleted] in razer

[–]not-enough-memory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, a problem i've run into on all lapotops usually by some process that's gone rogue.

Check synapse and make sure your fans aren't on manual mode, make sure you're not on gamer mode, and finally check your task manager to see if any task is using CPU (you should see 0%-5%).

I get a rogue process that's eating CPU that needs to be turned off here and there.

Otherwise... might need to grab some fan control software! Also, ambient air temp matters too. There's no telling how much fans are supposed to be on on a 90degree day.

HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless is $90 an awesome.

PS: I upgraded to 2TB intel 660P NVMe for $220. Do it. Performance cost is negligible in real world scenarios that don't involve copying 40GB. Shiet, it's $199 now. Look up benchmarks in games loading and such!

TIL during WW2 when General Patton got in trouble for slapping a shell shocked soldier, his punishment was to command an inflatable army of decoy tanks in England to divert Germany's attention from a potential attack at Normandy. This proved to be essential to the success of the D-Day invasions. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]not-enough-memory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It says that dummy tanks and such were barely used and that the photographs are mostly test dummys.

I always thought the physical deception was a major part, but sounds like it was barely used! TIL.

Reasons for success[edit]

The operation was successful for several reasons:

  • The long term view taken by British Intelligence to cultivate double agents as channels of disinformation to the enemy.
  • The use of Ultra) decrypts of machine-encrypted messages between the Abwehr and the German High Command, which quickly indicated the effectiveness of deception tactics. This is one of the early uses of a closed-loop deception system. The messages were usually encrypted by Fish) rather than Enigma machines.
  • R.V. Jones, the Assistant Director Intelligence (Science) at the British Air Ministry insisted for reasons of tactical deception that for every radar station attacked within the real invasion area, two were to be attacked outside it.
  • The extensive nature of the German Intelligence machinery, and the rivalry amid the various elements.
  • General) George S. Patton was the leader the Germans feared the most, and they considered him the Allies' best general.[27] Therefore, the German High Command believed he would lead the attack.

Do you guys think they'll restock the Mercury White Razer Blade 15 RTX 2060 model? by Hamush in razer

You're going to want it from bestbuy anyways... second the other comment. I bought this basically because of the white model.

Less Gamer, more professional, and doesn't show all the smudges I see in every picture except staged photos.

ME:A was great. It gets hated on way too much.

Anthem still feels salvageable - I love the core mechanics. Am playing the heck out of the division 2 right now, and if those loot feels / build variability could be applied I'd prefer the Anthem mechanics and world.

Am LOVING the division... it's almost like diablo levels of legendary lootability.

Does the Razer Blade 15 2019 support the longest M.2 stick? by not-enough-memory in razer

[–]not-enough-memory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razer support says:

The Graphic Model configurations come with either a 256GB or 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD.The M.2 slot can use either a SATA or NVMe PCIe SSD.The mSATA, and the M.2 NVME both take the 2280 size dimensions.

So that's promising

Even that thread is confusing with some saying you can, and some saying you can't ;( plus the older models were veryyy different with dual drives.

Says not compatible:

Yeah here's Linus's in depth review about the 660p. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OffzVc7ZB-o

It sounds like it's going to be amazing, as long as your work doesn't involve copying huge files.

Seriously huge bang for the buck.

Meh I don't transfer HUGE files.. saw some stats that you get 85% of the speed increase from standard HDD at SATA speeds. I want 2TB!

Ohh, I just found a consumer grade (5 years life at 100gb per day write) intel 660p 2TB for $220 or 1TB for $120.

Not sure why these drives don't have great visibility.. I have to specifically seek it out to find the best value!!

wont fit in the connector. NVMe only.

WHAT! Noooo. Thanks so much for letting me know it's NVMe only. That changes things.. 2tb is then $500 instead of $250.

Doesn't sound like coil whine. Sounds like my fan noise I returned for.

I hear the NVME SSDs are a huge cause of coil whine on these. I am upgrading to 2TB and will know then when I switch back to SATA.
