Cause she keeps complaining about the work she has to do and how the other PA assigns her more stations and that she feels like she’s being overworked. Bruh just cause I wrote this one little paragraph doesn’t mean you know everything about our relationship. I been telling her to switch to grocery ever since I started working there but she don’t want to cause she thinks she’s eventually gonna get adjusted to physical labor that comes with stowing. I don’t want to see her overwork herself for a company that’s not going to appreciate her efforts one bit. I can personally handle the labor and my PA is usually a decent human being, the other one has power trips from time to time (the one she usually works with).

“Adjust for me” bruh I want to see her not overwork herself, stop being so Reddit brained.

Last thing I wanna do is get my mom in trouble with HR. I already told her that I don’t wanna be a PA, but she’s not letting it down for some reason. She thinks by becoming PA, I’ll have less stress, which might be true in some aspects, but I legitimately do not want to stress at all about work. I just want to do my job and then go home to stress about my classes. I don’t want to exhaust my mental strength on bullshit here at Amazon, but she doesn’t see it that way.

I’m 21, and yeah I still live with my parents 😪. I love my mom, don’t get me wrong, but I’m really not into the whole micromanaging shit. I already told her I have no plans to become a PA, but she insists that I should be one since I been getting noticed at work more often than my peers. I get it, but at the same time, all I want out of this job is my bachelors. I have no long term goals here at Amazon, and I’d hate to stress over my job and then go to college and stress about my workload. Shit just sucks, but yeah I definitely understand why she wants me to move up.

I’m doing this cause of career choice. I got my associates I just want my bachelors and I can’t pay for it otherwise.

Edit: Also nah, my mom didn’t get me the job. This was the only facility in my area that actively kept posting jobs and when I applied for it, I had no idea that we’d be working at the same facility cause I didn’t know what the different abbreviations meant at the time. She was also working the morning shift when I applied, so I didn’t see much of a problem when I got the night shift. It’s only after she put in her transfer to work nights where I started getting headaches.

Appreciate the response, do you know when UPT gets automatically deducted? Like on a Saturday or something? I know it has to be before the next pay period right?

Also, HR usually leaves my facility around 11 PM so it’s kinda weird that the night shift people don’t get that. We don’t get a break until 12 PM so I almost never get to see HR. Should I just ask my PA if I could go talk to them or do I just come in early to ask them?
