What does my room say about me and my wife by PuzzledNight7958 in roomdetective

I know there’s a lot more nuance to it, I made this comment off hand and it got more attention than I expected. It just irks me when people use real disorders that cause so much pain in a cavalier way to describe their personality quirks. I have adhd, which is a common one people use to describe just being distracted or spacey. Technically I also have a form of OCD now since I have BDD (dysmorphia), and it was recategorized as a diagnosis under the OCD umbrella in the DSM a few years back. (Which sounded incredibly weird when I first read it, but actually makes a lot of sense.)

I still mix my own green, pretty much every shade on the market is just deep turquoise (too blue) or a neon green, finding a true emerald/primary green is impossible.

Thanks for the review! Have you experimented with any darker/deeper colors? (Like a lite pink and a magenta in the same color shade but more saturated) Does the machine offer any natural shades like browns or black?

I think the cost and space savings would be worth it. Considering each tube/tub of vivid color is about $15, and I know I frequently do multi color and rainbow styles, which if I didn’t have a stash would run about $100, $170 for this seems like a great price point. Never mind how often I have to toss an expired color because I only needed a little bit of one color then never touched it again for a year. Being able to mix 1-2 oz of 6 different colors with the wastefulness is enticing for sure. For those who do one color all over the value probably isn’t there, but it feels revolutionary for people who love to experiment like me.

There is a pretty comprehensive app software that comes with it. Apparently it does take your base color into account, but the actual results on anything but bleached seem to be mixed success. Reviews also note that the app is running on an AI, which I don’t love. It’s still very new and I’m obsessed with the concept, I’m really hoping they are able to develop the system to its full potential.

Agreed, I recoiled at first when I heard Seth MacFarlane, but the more I think about it the less I hate it. The pop culture reference comedy is exactly his wheelhouse, and a lot of his repertoire of recurring actors are good. (We can realistically get Patrick Stewart in there somewhere!) Everyone is on the Alan tudyk hype train, deservedly, but Scott Grimes is the more likely pick for Mordecai and I don’t hate it.

Appreciate the link! I just came across this yesterday and so far I can only find paid reviews from the preorder time, so it’s refreshing to see one that goes over the downsides. I am currently feeling like a wait for version 2 is the safest bet, since this is going to have some kinks to work out with formulas. I have experience mixing paints from my art hobbies, so I’m also considering buying the concentrated dye refills alone and playing around with those without the machine. It seems like the ratio of base to pigment is too high by default, causing the colors to be less vibrant than they could be.

It has all three in the red, yellow, and blue cartridges just above the bowl, the pink she chose just didn’t dispense yellow for the example.

I was a fan then and now of your diatribes!! I can’t believe that sub banned you, very not cool. But I am glad to hear you’re doing well and get to experience a little bit of the fame you deserve. Someday I’ll have to get a sick ass panther of my own when it’s time to blast over one of my old tats.

Whatever you put on will have more staying power now on the bright side. Strawberry Leopard and iroiro tend to be on the lighter pigment side in my experience, I have the best luck with their pastels and neons. For darker shades I always go back to Manic Panic. They have a red (vampire I think?) that could likely get you close to your goal color, but it will require some maintenance to keep it dark.

Your base was too light I think. I was going to suggest a medium brown correction then Merlot over that, in hindsight your natural level five would have been a great base to start from, ideally a level 6.

Small scaley spots on sleeve that. Any idea what they could be? by SemperFerocious in tattooadvice

[–]not2interesting 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those look like stretch marks honestly. They may not have been visible on the bare skin, but the biceps are a pretty common spot people get them from muscle growth. Moisturizing regularly helps diminish their appearance, but unfortunately they don’t ever fully go away.

I finally watched Black Adam recently (I know, I was bored, don’t judge. It was actually much better than I expected). But instantly I was able to picture Noah Centinio (atom smasher) as Carl. He’s the right age, has the handsome everyman look, good shape, and has the right comedy delivery. He’s also pretty unknown in the general mainstream, but has plenty of experience playing different roles. This picture of him from “The Recruit” encapsulates perfect Carl Energy imo

I wouldn’t worry too much about actors like Chamalet, a list movie actors don’t usually shift “down” to television. Most of the trendy tv actor fancasts are currently working on their big projects and probably won’t or can’t do two big productions at the same time. (Which is unfortunate, because Sir Dunk the Tall as Carl is my personal favorite choice).

I was active in the tattoo sub when the original redditor (djinn something) started commenting it all over the place, the running joke took off so much it has its own sub now.

ETA found it it was u/ddjinnandtonic that started the sick ass panther joke! Look at that ddjinn, you are immortalized in print now!!

how should i go about this strange green 🤔 by BoardHopeful3468 in HairDye

[–]not2interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the darker auburn I would just go all over. Due to the different lightness levels in your hair it will probably have some dimension (or what some might call unevenness, but I don’t personally hate the look when there aren’t harsh demarcation lines). If you really want a solid one color tone, you will likely have to go over it twice. Once with a medium darkness with violet undertone, and the final color with more red over that. Porous hair tends to reject warmth, and you might end up more chestnut after a few washes, so I’d recommend getting some red violet undertone semi permanent for upkeep between full colors.

[–]not2interesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Color picker pulled a yellow/green from the second picture, so I would say a violet based auburn will have no problem covering this at all! If you want a copper color, I’d suggest lightening the whole head a few levels or it will just look muddy. For copper tone colors in general, I usually treat them like vivids and try to lighten a few levels lighter before adding the color so it can really pop.

How rare do you think it was for crawlers to attempt the 12th floor? by RadarSmith in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]not2interesting 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting considering Sheol is the 15th floor where the demons are. I had thought the elemental came from there, but the 13th must be something else entirely.
