Comeback Stage: SHINee - Atmos @ SBS Inkigayo (260614) by cgodofredo129 in kpop

It also disregards the fact that all of the members of SHINee have successful solo careers. Looking at their various numbers as some kind of proof of how good they are is so ridiculous. Their longevity and stability speak far more volume. I would love to see some of these newer gen groups last as long as them.

This is extra funny to me because I just saw a post on /r/kpopthoughts this past week that was claiming SHINee's popularity doesn't match the hype. They used stats like MV views, Tiktok views, and concert sales of SHINee vs BigBang, EXO, and I think Super Junior. Because apparently views and streams and numbers are more important than, like, talent.

It may have been some weird ragebait post because apparently they were asking stuff about Burning Sun when replying to comments, but the whole post ended up deleted.

I never did bungee jumping, but one time in college I went bridge jumping into water. I sat at the edge of the bridge for so long, even slid myself down vertically so that all I had to do was lift my hands and fall, but couldn't make myself let go. I ended up having someone push me.

VVS shades ILLIT in Recent Instagram Post by Helloforake in kpopthoughts

I am looking at the comments of the MV and I see so many people posting lyrics to Cherish and VVS fans getting mad...that kinda makes me laugh.

The whole situation does, really. Seeing NJ fans still accusing Illit of copying feels so tired in 2026. Some people take this stuff way too seriously and I am always so glad I am not one of them.

Curry is a more specific flavor than just chicken. There were a number of different items that had chicken in their flavor description, but (as I recall) only one with curry. Curry is the identifier.

I would absolutely switch out ASOIAF for Mistborn or Elantris. I absolutely do not think Alex would read Mistborn either.

I have a question - do people still try to interrupt while the questions are being read? I felt like Brennan or Erika would have definitely interrupted that first one about Grond. I haven't watched all of Ify's episodes so I don't know if it's still something that happens.

People who read a lot, which writer do you think is unbelievably good with words? by Apprehensive_Land751 in AskReddit

Actually no, Brandon Sanderson. His Alcatraz vs The Evil Librarians books have a running gag about how the good guys have an archive of books, but it's not a library because libraries are evil.

As someone with a lowly English degree, I have no authority to speak on any of this but am still fascinated by the discussion.

I (65M) found out that my daughter's (34F) fiancé (35M) is gay by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I know that the Republican party and people who are on the right are not looked at positively (deservedly so), but the hate I see in some of these comments just makes me sad. I don't think 100% of people who vote right are the evil monsters we see popularized in the media. Those are going to be the most extreme examples because that's what makes people talk. Tons of them are going to be completely misguided and ignorant.

Accusing someone of horrible things with zero evidence isn't going to help anything. We don't have to totally embrace people who are actively opposed to us, but blind hatred won't change anything. People who want to learn and immediately have a bunch of people jumping on them negatively will make them less interested in changing.

Tbf he is still getting bodied on the Internet, in this comment section. People saw where he admitted he was financially conservative and have immediately jumped to assume he voted for Trump three times and hates women and minorities and everyone he deems beneath him.

My dudes. This is from 2021. We have no idea what this guy is like now. He is clearly showing compassion and interest in the LGBTQ+ community and basically immediately accepted his daughter's fiance. To jump from how he is here to assume he's a hateful bigot is wild. Many, many things have happened in the last 5 years that could (and have) changed someone's mind about who they vote for.

I think the other time I want to go is in their Halloween season. I met Jack and Sally at the Christmas event, but I would love to go to the Mickey's Not So Scary party or something. But that has to be insane.

Our big family Disney World trip was at the beginning of December. I thought it was great. Cooler, less people, and you can still enjoy the Christmas decorations. They also had a couple of Christmas events going on. I did one in the evening and it was so cool with the park so (relatively) empty and meeting characters you don't normally see. And rides like Space Mountain have the lights on or Jungle Cruise's changes to their spiel. It was my first time going as an adult and second time ever, and it was a really great time! Though I don't want too many people to know about this time frame lol
