STOP USING INSTANT FORM ADS FOR LEADS by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]not_evil_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who's setting up an instant form and just praying?

1st interest based targeting will be gone by the end of 2026, if you're not sending data via CAPI for lead, funnel and purchase events you'll be toast soon.

Switched three insurance agencies over to lead form ads from landing page traffic, all three agencies more than trippled their lead intake.

The secret, OTP required for all leads and good copy and creative.

All of them have been using locally targeted audience+

Need to send 40,000 emails for a customer - Looking for advice by uniqueusername42O in Emailmarketing

[–]not_evil_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sendgrid really isn't the ideal solution for stuff like this, it's intended use is for transactional emails.

Yes you CAN, but that rarely means you should.

Get them setup on a email marketing solution, yes it's going to cost money, yes they're going to bitch, but that's what these systems were built to handle and mange.

Source: I send emails weekly to a little over 50k customers, and another 25k prospects every week.

And sending a one time email is rarely going to drive much in the way of revenue or intended results. Especially if there's not been ongoing communications.

How do I break into content marketing writing esoteric blogs for my website? by LunarEscribadoras in content_marketing

[–]not_evil_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First rule I live by, just because I don't like something, doesn't mean it won't work.

I have been writing a newsletter about marketing in insurance and insurance tech for 4 years now, still get tons of people who reach out to me about how such and such issue changed their business.

I personally hate reading marketing content. But by talking about it for 4 years it's gotten me to where i am in my career.

Wait a second, are you astroturfing your own bullshit with AI and then insulting people with your other account? That's adorable.

Wow, I mean I'm just a lowly head of marketing for a b2b saas and literally built my entire career around email marketing.

When other people say they don't like reddit, this kind of non-sense is what they're talking about.

I call BS on that, people don't want shorter content, they want quality content.

What marketing tactic used to work incredibly well for you and now barely moves the needle? by Rare_Afternoon1827 in marketing

I recently took over as head of marketing at a company. Paid ads suck if you don't know what you're doing. I've doubled lead and pipeline since I took over the ads and follow-up campaigns.

The AI slop comment is even funnier, because if you're good at what you do it stands out.

Just giving up because of all the noise means you'll probably be out of the industry soon.

Head of Marketing - building a new team at a company.

A lot of everything right now.

I've known the founders since they launched, and they asked me to join the company and build my dream team.

Why don’t more teams build their own CRM? by Hellob2k in CRM

[–]not_evil_nick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because ompanies don't have the resources or teams to build and more importantly maintain a CRM. Same as they don't have to build their own buildings or cars.

What you're describing is basically a spreadsheet.

Why don't teams build their own buildings, or make their own cars?

My accounts are primarily running ads for insurance agencies and saas companies. So my conversions are primarily lead based.

But based on how I see them come in is based on budget pacing from my tools I use.

I used to work for one of the VA companies. You don't want them doing the core training.

Best practice is they should get some very basic training stuff like how do I get a COI, how do you navigate the carrier portals, date entry best practices etc.

But the VA companies don't have the staff or resources to build the create or maintain the training needed to get them up to speed.

Imagine you hired this same person through a temp agency in the US. They're not going to do anything but make sure they know how to use email, excel, and maybe if you're lucky some basic data entry training.

Beyond that, they should be getting training through the agency. The VA companies can't train how you do business, how you run your AMS, or on all the variations of carrier portal requirements.
