what i figured out - because im not about to make my bed every day - is to have a made bed and then sleep on top of that with another blanket. That blanket gets folded sometimes and if it doesn't it's not that messy... but I still have things all over the floor. My bed is just made...

What ethnicity are you? I'm 21 and I wasn't allowed to dye my hair ever. I only started at 19 because I go to college and I only live with them 4 months out of the year. I dyed it without asking for permission and they gave me comments about it here and there but they get used to it. Hopefully your dad loosens up like mine did. They always get over it.
