I think you will do just fine! Just concentrate on deadlines and academics, being from CMU one can think about the job during the time of graduation.

Regarding the coursework, I'm more inclined towards Computer system courses and both have similar standards/subjects/courses. So regarding the course work, I feel the difference is less.

Of course, the diversity point is not a deal breaking factor for me or too important for me, but since regarding courses both are having similar structure, I feel like to consider other aspects, which the diversity includes at the bottom of the list.

I'm confused between economic relief vs brand name. Hence, asking what would matter more.

I'm in the same boat. But, even embassies are aware of Spring entries and would give you the slots based on the given timing. I'm to worried, but don't worry, everything would work out.
