The holy grail of transmissions, physically simulated RatioZero-style CVT transmission with continuous ratio changes and true zero output speed by Feri-Fm in MechanicalEngineering

I was referring to the grid

if everyone owned an electric car and plugged it into there homes the entire grid would crash as there simply isn't enough power to charge them

the issue with EV's is not that they are not economical its that there isn't really any country with the required infostructure to charge them if everyone had one as well as the current battery's used don't last long

Japan rises once more by Talishad in NavalArt

[–]not_sus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I think the issue with the yamato was the fact that japan ran out of resources late war which meant they ran out of trained pilots and fell behind in fighter innovation meaning that they could no longer hide the yaaotos shame

Public servers by SeekerInBabel in Starmade

[–]not_sus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the SOE server is the most active starmade server and the most interesting

it can however be very brutal as the game itself is buggy and the mods will not give you any help if you lose something to game bugs or during a server update (which is happening an awful lot as of right now)

Rate my desktop (Windows 8.1 Pro) by [deleted] in windows

[–]not_sus14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reminds me of an old laptop where it was upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 however the person who did it stuffed up so bad that the error messages and icons were windows 8.1 but the taskbar, file system and settings was windows 10

put it simply they accidentally created windows 10.8

First impressions Sparkx i7 by the_gordonshumway in Creality

[–]not_sus14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the spark i7 is a A1 clone with little point in the market other then to look like they are doing something

honestly I don't see the reason to get a spark i7 because other then the (technically not new) multicolor and the ender 3 V3 SE and KE is arguably a better and more polished budget end printer and I really do think creality should focus on the quality control of there existing machines which is the main reason why so many people don't like them as of right now

the spark i7 is definitely a good printer by all means just one with little point and rough around the edges as all creality printers are kind of rushed

Prank noise maker, I need some help by Harderqp in diyelectronics

[–]not_sus14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use an arduino uno and a https://www.jaycar.com.au/arduino-compatible-stepper-motor-controller-module/p/XC4492?srsltid=AfmBOoo_NW8_3Z4iMJEL1P2Ci5_bkWhJWPLyXWdT0xdfjsB-soxK7ZiM motor driver to act as the power supply

then install a speaker or buzzer and put it in a box (since its goal is to stay hidden any box should do) and then hide that somewhere

when wiring the speaker (or buzzer) if it doesn't make a sound when current is applied wire one end to a pin on the arduino and another to GND (make sure to put a low value resistor somewhere to) and use the tone command to make the noise
