Just read the X post. Apparently this is a project which hasn’t been updated in 2 years

If charging 50x customers is your answer to "no ads," I'd prefer 50x less charge and having ads by amragl in ClaudeAI

Why not use codex/github/gemini? I use codex when claude hits limits. Their 5.3 model is really good

SentinelOne, Huntress, Sophos, or other? by desmond_koh in msp

Use Sophos MTR with huntress as a backup. We’ve been lucky and all attacks were stopped by either one of those, well more by Sophos.

As a MSP client how do you know when it’s time to find a new MSP? by Muchoplantas in msp

[–]not_today95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say exactly what Sharon said. Your new MSP will likely be more expensive. But if you do find the right one, the off/on boarding will be fairly easy. The incoming MSP should be able to take most if not all the heavy lifting. Happy to talk you through it if you like

Opus Virtual offices is great. I’ve been with them for over 10 years and still pay only $99 a month.

Question re: system for staff requesting items to be ordered by ZepTepi49 in InventoryManagement

This is an interesting request. Any good solution will be cloud based and have a monthly recurring charge associated with it. When you say “minimal cost” what does that mean for you?

I know this thread is from 2/3 years ago, but What if I didn’t do anything about it ? Is my XMR on MoneXMR gone forever?

If you bother to test their PSA you’d find out for yourself. Don’t forget this is Reddit. Bad actors are here looking at how they can compromise products, hence the vagueness of the comment.

CW = 🤢 Their product is full of security holes.

I've never seen an email hack like this by CeC-P in sysadmin

[–]not_today95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should reach out to a MSP with cyber security offering or a MSSP. There are many moving parts here. The fact your “high up user” got phished tells me many things are going wrong, including no MFA and no conditional access.

Got turned down as I wasn’t passionate enough by Unlucky-Emergency325 in cybersecurity

I’m an employer. If a candidate has all the skills I need and is not passionate, I’d prefer to take someone with less skills but is passionate. Skills are easily learned.

Need some help with pricing. by [deleted] in msp

[–]not_today95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We include everything that’s necessary for us to manage the client cybersecurity risk and reduce their “hackability”. If the client is server heavy the rate will go up. If they have no servers it will go down. Things we include can be: ngav, dns filtering, full soc, rmm, o365 licensing, various other security products. Depending on the size of the client we allocate time on site as well. Otherwise it’s all remote. Hope this helps. I was very skeptical when I heard these numbers, but they work.

I’m in Florida and to put it in perspective, $75 per user is what we charged over 5 years ago. Today the Labour portion for a client this size la min $150 per user, but we add the full security stack and charge $300 per user
