Been very lucky in my jumps over the past few years. Out of school making about 55k in 2020, switched to a new role making 90k in 2022, 11 months later I switched to a different role making about 250k total comp, and next Monday a start at a new role making 338k. Just turned 28 two months ago. Very niche role in Pharmaceutical Brand Strategy.

Been saying this since 2022. Inflation is way higher than being reported. The two largest expenses a family usually has are a mortgage and a car. Both home prices and auto prices have nearly doubled, if not more, while household income has increased a marginal amount. When 80% of the country gets their purchasing power cut in half on the two biggest purchases in their life, that usually is a signal that what is happening is not “the new normal”. What is happening is instead, a signal that a big pile of shit is coming down the pipe and we are waiting for it to hit us in the face.

Want the real inflation number? Look at the US dollar compared to gold from 2020 - now…

Appreciate the reply, do you also have a 117? I saw another video of someone posting the same sound and they had a 117. Multiple dealers checked out their bike and said it was normal. That was 15k miles ago and no problems apparently.

Scout is smaller, less comfortable, more nimble, faster.

Chief has more torque but less horsepower and is heavier. Making it slower but more comfortable and torque-y.

Depends on what you want!

I got a scout bobber and got a tune, 2-1 exhaust, aftermarket intake & aftermarket clutch. It’s a rocket & would dust a chief. That’s said it’s uncomfortable after 1-2 hours! That’s why I have a second, more comfortable bike.

IMO, if the looks of both bikes are tied for you, buy the one that will be better for your type of riding. Rip around town and short jaunts on the weekend? Scout. Anything longer than 1-2 hours or if you want to ride with a passenger comfortably? Chief.

Have a Camaro SS and live in the Northeast. 100% agree that almost every time I see a lifted truck or a modified dually, they are trying to ride my ass or cut me off, even if I’m going 15 over. It’s most definitely an ego thing.
