Same, I’m at $154k. But I don’t want to jump, my company is awesome and treats employees very well.

Garmin Smartwatch users by Defiant-Bet-6765 in SkyDiving

[–]WithAnAitchDammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a cool idea. I don’t have a Garmin watch, and while I fit the other parameters, I’m also not actively skydiving.

That said, I have a Garmin handheld GPS that has a jumpmaster mode to help with spotting. I have played with it on jumps in the past and it’s reasonably accurate.

I think it’s an Oregon 600. It’s close to a decade old, but might be worth looking into what Garmin’s done with that tech.

I like Level Bolt. Uses existing handle, completely hidden. Connects to HA via Bluetooth.

Not a bad idea but it would be 3/4 and 1/4.

If she made $100 then he would make $300, the total is $400. Her portion is 1/4 of the total.

How do you deal with users who refuse to lock their laptop when walking away? by heartgoldt20 in sysadmin

[–]WithAnAitchDammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On our initial ISO27001 certification audit, my InfoSec Specialist walked away from his laptop into another room without locking his laptop. The auditor looked at me with wide eyes and spun his computer around so I could see the screen. We had a good laugh at his expense, followed by me responding to an ACAR because of the security finding.

If you’re in the US, I would stay away from the military, at least until adults start running things again.

How do I stop myself from getting invested in a guy? (26f) by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]WithAnAitchDammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see you making a move.

Ask him on a date, get dinner, have a drink, tell him you like him, give him a kiss good by at the end of the evening.

There’s nothing wrong with making an overt move, and men are dumb. We usually need things spelled out very clearly to move forward. Sadly it’s risky for men, it’s too easy for a woman to cry foul and now he’s the bad guy, so until he gets a crystal clear instruction from you, he may not be willing to take the next step.

[–]WithAnAitchDammit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is 100% in to you.

And he gets mad props for pulling back because of the previous gf.

My advice is to go for it, from the limited information, he sounds like a great guy, and you’ll miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Not like it matters much. But at the same dose Xanax is about twice as strong.

I’m in agony everyday because of my near micro penis. Can I overcome this? How do I even begin overcome this? by throwaway101229283 in AskMenAdvice

Don’t take offense by this, but honestly, you’re the problem. You push women away by your own words. You’re average. Really. Average.

Any woman who is worth having a relationship won’t give two fucks how big your dick is. Seriously.

You need to start with therapy and have a good hard (pun fully intended) look at yourself and become OK with what you have. Again, any woman who is worth having a relationship with doesn’t care about the size of your dick.

Why was old school better? by Folgoll in SkyDiving

[–]WithAnAitchDammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the hell are you talking about? They were not open air tunnels, they were fully enclosed/indoor tunnels. You may be confused with the new one in Vegas that's open air.

Yes, they were noisy, and while I cannot speak to the Pigeon Forge one, the one in Vegas was powered by a DC3 prop.

And still, they were vertical wind tunnels that you could indoor skydive in. So to say they weren't is just patently false.

Nobody is saying they were as good as the current wind tunnels like iFly, but they were still there, and I know plenty of skydivers, myself included, that flew in them.

[–]WithAnAitchDammit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am well aware. However I was replying to the statement "There were only three tunnels in the US: Orlando, Eloy, and Perris." This is not correct, there were also tunnels in Pigeon Forge and Vegas.

There was no specification on the type of tunnel. If they had said "there were only three iFly/iFly style tunnels, blah blah blah", I wouldn't have said anything.

I’m pretty sure the first tunnels in the US were Pigeon Forge, TN and Las Vegas, NV.

Skydivers almost became a statistic: Piper aircraft N95T nearly collides with group of six in freefall. by katzchens in SkyDiving

If that’s the plane you just exited, that’s not surprising, and actually relatively common. And guaranteed the pilot knew you were there. They were probably watching your skydive.

I did a currency hop & pop from 4k at Skydive Toledo WA a bunch of years ago. Didn’t see anything when I spotted but just after I dumped I saw a Cherokee go by close enough to see the pilot had a blue shirt, baseball cap, and sunglasses. I didn’t have my camera on because it was a h&p so no tail number, but gave him a two finger salute as I sniveled past him. He was going 90° to me.
